Another Hatton opponent roundabout!
Sorry, as a Hatton fan I'm stiil not impressed, one day soon Ricky will come into the ring under-motivated and loose to one of these guys.

I just don't believe that any top ten lightwelter fighter against Ricky cannot be made for one reason or another. If they want the fights they can be made, its not like Warren is short of cash. They don't have confidence in Ricky for some reason, plane and simple. How come Hearn can get a smaller name like Brodie 3 shots at a major title and Ricky, Joe and others cannot? They don't want to take a risk. At least Brodie and even Brian Magee are taking risks in their careers unlike Ricky. I hope he gets booed and bottles and shit thrown in the ring after this fight ends early.

Just as bad, if not worse. He's 40th ranked at welter on boxrec I see - on the basis of having had one fight at welter and beaten the guy world ranked at.............229.
So this is Warren's top ten opponent then, another Argie punchbag.
No wonder Showtime took a rain check.
They're obviously not as stupid as they look.

exactly this would be a good test for Lynes, a reasonable ticking over fight for Hare but for Hatton its just a mismatch.Kilburn wrote:To me Vilches is the kind of fighter Bami & Lynes could go up against to give them a reasonable test.
But a Hatton opponent? Tell you now what with Slapabora coming in the autumn you can draw a line through 2004 for me.
And how incompetent do SN look? Well, we're talking big numbers here Frank, big numbers....

I'm so tired of 'comparison' opposition for Frank's boys. The only way to get a decent comparison is to put your fighter in with the guy you want to compare him to. Otherwise it's just a waste of everyones time.
This is such a nothing fight, it's not a test for Hatton in any way, shape or form. I'll echo Kilburn's sentiments, as far as Hatton's concerned, wake me up next year.

fornicate me, would a loss to a top guy really be that bad? Hell no. Just take a risk for once in your lives Ricky and FW.
This really is going to be funny if they try and talk this fight up or even mention "Spadafora next" and proclaim it a big risk for Ricky. Spadafora should not be a problem for Ricky and its just a fight that leads to no-where. Completely pointless, Cotto will be WBA champ by then while Ricky with almost double the fights will still be WBU chump.

From their point of view that won't matter, the guaranteed victories will continue because they can sell out to massive crowds of city fans with missing teeth and chromosomes who think RH is the world champion. So why take the risk, why try and get to the top? He's making his money and that's obviously all he cares about.

That's right, I'm a Hatton fan, but like many of us I have passed being fustrated with the opponents he has been facing most of the time and just become plain bored with his whole career.Kilburn wrote:To me Vilches is the kind of fighter Bami & Lynes could go up against to give them a reasonable test.
Hattons being turned into a UK Brian Neilsen.
This fight is an absolute joke! How can they justify this crap? Hatton WILL NEVER BE STEPPED UP. After the Pedersen farce we needed a strong opponent to quell the doubts, we have been handed another joke opponent. Sports Network are killing this kids career although he doesn't seem too bothered as he is raking in the cash. All Hatton can possibly gain from these type of fights is bad habits, guys who offer no resistance and can't hurt him are bad for him as he thinks he can neglect his defense and go steaming in regardless. He will be beaten when he does step up with this type of opposition.
