The suggestion was that Kean goes in with Eggington next in a sink or swim fight, that's career suicide. Let Kean have 2 or 3 more fights, then fight Warburton again before the end of the year.

An Eastern European to knock over early on, then fight Jason Nesbitt, Carl Allen and Matt Seawright. See how he goes in those and if he's improved, put him in with Warburton again, because he wasn't all that much to start with.

I'm 17, I definitely ain't a member of the board. Fighting Nesbitt and Seawright would be a step back down to the level he was fighting at before Warburton, which as his last fight proved, is the level he's currently at. Get him some good sparring around the country, let him develop a bit, then start stepping him up. He's still only 22, no need to rush him, if he was 32 I could understand, but at his age he's got a long time left, so why take unnecessary risks? The most important thing right now is to rebuild his confidence, losing to a fighter he was expected to beat comfortably will hurt, so give him a couple of opponents that he can stop, then a couple that will allow him to get some rounds in, that should also make sure he doesn't lose any support, because he does sell a lot of tickets. He might not be unbeaten, but a defeat at this stage is by no means a disaster, another would be, but there's no harm in losing, as long as he learns from it and doesn't make the same mistakes again.

By giving George "opponents" that he can stop will do feck all for either his confidence, or marketability, and he will Learn zilch mabey even go backwards with people blowing smoke up his arse!, and as soon as someone " live" or hasn't read the script comes along another loss!, what he needs is someone whos say 5-3, with ambition, who he needs to get his head down to beat, he needs the challenge that the kid wants to rip his head off! That's when you will see the real George, not blowing away Eastern Europeans
