So its that time of year again - the 4 day build up to Mayweathers latest fight, with a strong undercard this time.
For those that will be following the 'drama' (went all All Access on you for a moment there) of the week on youtube which of the following 'reporters' coverage will you be watching?
1. Kugan Cassius - the fun loving British 'bantersaurus' LAD
2. Ellie Seckback - The OG of YT video reporting and Robert Garcia groupie
3. Radio Rahim - The self acclaimed people's champ (ok I made that up)
4. Smitty - Keeping the 80's alive
5. Marcos Villegas - The slick talking face of the Boxing Channel (sorry Al B)
6. Michelle 'Joy' Phelps - The surprisingly uninspiring YT pinup
7. The guy from Fight Hype - Is his name Ben?
8. Richard 'the secret' Williams - The truth.
Well there it is. I expect the majority of people reading this to tell me that they don't watch interviews on YT because they are not from 'proper' journalists. But I could have probably doubled that list with people who are accredited to the event so obviously they all have an audience.
I personally will maybe catch a couple of fighthub/boxing channel vids and get the rest of it from All Access which showtime generously put up on YT now.

I choose Richard 'Richard the secret Williams' 'the truth' Williams

Koogie bear for me! Like his more relaxed approach but still includes enough info to get by. Also he's English with Sri Lankan heritage like me so gota show support ;;-)

Can't watch seckback, not a fan. Will probably be IFL
Re: Mayweather fight week - Who are you watching?
Yeah Kugan is the guy I tend to watch. Still curious how that guy is constantly flying off to vegas and what have you to cover fights. They cant make that much money through that venture and I dunno what else he does outside of that. I heard he's a trust fund baby though so could be that. Anyway getting back on topic, I think he provides the best coverage. The others listed are pretty solid aswell though aside from Eli Sechback who is quite possibly the most clueless boxing reporter ive seen. Not sure how he gets the access he does.

I don't think he's making enough from the channel alone to afford that many trips, although its impressive how big they have come in a short space of time - mostly down to a lot of hard work from both him and James and the good access they have managed to get. They really are the first place that most UK fights fans and boxers go now for video content.columbo wrote:Yeah Kugan is the guy I tend to watch.
