Boxrec has the November 20, 1971 WBC flyweight title bout between champion Erbito Sallavaria (spelling) and Betulio gonzalez listed as a DQ win for Gonzalez. This is incorrect. The bout was scored a 15 round draw. Sallavarria was stripped of his title afterwards when it was discovered he used sugar water between rounds. the WBC offered Gonzalez the title outright but like a man he refused it saying he wanted to win the title. Thus the vacant title was won by Gonzalez when he stopped Socrates Batoto in 4. But the results of the fight have never changed. It was a 15 round draw.
