Willie Limond vs Curtis Woodhouse

Post by davie »

Just wondering, why is this only for Limonds commonwealth title and not Woodhouses British?

On a side note, good match up, 2 good domestic fighter in the "Autumn" of their respective careers. Both on a 3 fight winning run with decent results in their last fight.

would be nice to see both titles on the line. Does Curtis still hold the British?

maybe the board have rejected Limond as suitable opponent for the British ?
hes been very inactive over past few years and others more deserving

although i would like to see Limond win the belt.

The bout is listed on here as only being for the commonwealth title.

Boxrec is usually so reliable. What makes you so special that you think you know better?

hope limond is more positive than Hamilton, who wouldn't engage, trying to steal openings/rounds. obviously woodhouse-Hamilton became very exciting when woodhouse broke through and claimed deserved victory. I hope limond uses his repertoire and that we see a positive and exciting fight.

then, I hope woodhouse brings those titles home and makes a defense in bloody Yorkshire, where I can buy a ticket and support the warrior!

I'm afraid Limond hasn't got it anymore at title level,he's had a great but long career, hasn't been that active at title level for a good few years now and although he can still do 12 rounds,i dont think Woodhouse will let him and i can see Willie being retired on his stool second half of the fight

Being Scottish myself,i'll be rooting for Limond but wouldn't begrudge Curtis the win coz he's a class act in and out of the ring and i'd like to see him add the Commonwealth strap to his British before getting shot at the European
