In a beautiful part of medway. Went very well. Sakio did a round on the gloves as we'll and brought the WBC belt with him. What a lovely looking belt it is too.
Re: Sakio bika in strood
He's always seemed a really decent and well grounded fellow, I hope the day went well and he enjoyed himself. Hesy a good advert for the sport

Sarcasm, eh?95gerog wrote:In a beautiful part of medway. Went very well. Sakio did a round on the gloves as we'll and brought the WBC belt with him. What a lovely looking belt it is too.
Many moons ago I once lived in Gravesend (a twenty minute drive away), and would have definitely popped over to meet Sakio: one of my favorites. What was he like? I imagine he's massive when he's not making weight.

Gravesend was one of the few times I was walking about of an evening feeling rather edge. It was a weird vibe walking around there of a night.clopixolacuphase wrote:Sarcasm, eh?95gerog wrote:In a beautiful part of medway. Went very well. Yeah, but you were peeping through windows, you were bound to be edgy.columbo wrote:Gravesend was one of the few times I was walking about of an evening feeling rather edge. He looked like a beast to be fair, in shape and a very big shoulders. Looked natural though for what it's worth, and seemed like a nice guy. He wants the winner of froch vs groves and would prefer froch for some reason.

Gravesend shouldn't hold too much fear for medwaysians.columbo wrote:Gravesend was one of the few times I was walking about of an evening feeling rather edge. The only place I have ever been in a pub where they mopped the blood from around my feet from a lad that had been stabbed in the face while they took my order at the bar. True story.columbo wrote: Gravesend was one of the few times I was walking about of an evening feeling rather edge. It was a weird vibe walking around there of a night.

Re: Sakio bika in strood
No it's my mates new gym. I'm thinking of doing the Ricky hatton pad work training courses and helping out. The fella running it is a top bloke, ex kick boxer and current pro boxer.columbo wrote:You part of the set up there mate?95gerog wrote:In a beautiful part of medway. Went very well. Re: Sakio bika in strood
The bloke was there and met bika; I'd not go on the pads with him if he didn't know what county he was in.
Re: Sakio bika in strood
I hope he gets a big fight with either one. I guess that's why he's in the area, to be in the house tomorrow and drum up some interest in a unification.95gerog wrote:He looked like a beast to be fair, in shape and a very big shoulders. No formal training mate but always wanted to try it out. Even for the fitness element as much as anything.clopixolacuphase wrote:Can you have a row, Lefty? Any formal training?columbo wrote: I might check it out mate.

Re: Sakio bika in strood
Bika would have been an excellent spar partner for Groves to prepare for Froch i reckon, any chance that was what happened?
