Floyd is not coming.
Surprise surprise. Parsons was right all along.

He shouldn't feel too bad, happens to all men at some point.mickey1975 wrote:Floyd is not coming.
He was probably tired, or stressed from work.

Don't give up on the 28th just yet Mickey. That's a whole different ball game.
Had to laugh though - unspecified visa issue. mmmm.

Re: Floyd is not coming.
Parson was indeed right all along. I remained sceptical despite all the nonsense being spouted by various promoters of the various dinner shows.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
I'm glad he's not coming. For me, the after-dinner-circuit should be reserved for retired pros with increasing waistlines and decreasing egos. Floyd should stay lean and mean for as long as he can.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
The issue would be that he didn't apply for one.Parson Cross wrote:Don't give up on the 28th just yet Mickey. That's a whole different ball game.

I don't think that's accurate mate.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
If anyone is interested I'll fly over & do a series of talks when I can tell you about my two pussies (I don't physically have two vaginas) & my Toyota Matrix.

More like his domestic issues prevented him from getting a visa.

hes painful to listen to anyway. with his self given nicknames and always saying "the sport of boxing". It drives me mad, he never just says boxing.
I cant fathom how he got to be such a draw when hes such a dullard. tho OBV hes a genius

Exactly. The only reason he was coming in the first place.G0mez wrote:Looks like he ain't fighting Khan soon then.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
It looks like Mayweather is coming on 28th June in Leeds for a charity dinner show. Gary Atkin has just confirmed it. You were right once againParson Cross wrote:Don't give up on the 28th just yet Mickey. That's a whole different ball game.

The Leeds show will be the ONLY dinner show he will be attending.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
So the visa issue was horseshyte from the promoters, right?
Re: Floyd is not coming.
Looks like it. I have been told that it was allegedly a contractual issue with the tour contracts. Gary Atkin's show was not part of the 'tour', it was a separate contract.Sklar wrote:So the visa issue was horseshyte from the promoters, right?

Sadly Floyd has pulled the plug in the 28th.
Feel for Gary. He's talking about rescheduling for October.

Re: Floyd is not coming.
No surprise but I also have sympathy for the organiser as he'll feel the brunt.
Edit: Parsons, is Mayweather likely to compensate the organiser?

No mate.
Re: Floyd is not coming.
My offer still stands. I also completed a 4 mile race for a turtle charity this morning. I can tell people about the sacrifices I put myself through (like not getting completely hammered last night).

He's told Gary he's 100% coming in October and will make a donation to his charity.Parson Cross wrote:No mate.

It sounds to me that pretty boy wasn't as popular in the uk as he thought so possibly promotors couldn't sell all the tickets Just a thought that's all I could be wrong

You're very wrong. He's just a diva who does what he wants. He pulled the plug. Not the promoters.spudder56 wrote:It sounds to me that pretty boy wasn't as popular in the uk as he thought so possibly promotors couldn't sell all the tickets Just a thought that's all I could be wrong

Spudder - MILES off the mark !
Every event sold out. When you're TMT though you call the shots.
Mickey,
Got a message after I posted mate. I'm pleased he's done that and I understand he was genuinely upset he couldn't do the 28th which is a bit more like it because my dealings with the team were how can I put it, tedious !

I wonder who people dealt with on the Floyd side arranging these
You'd like to think it was the man himself or Leonard Ellerbe.
