GGG v Froch
Re: GGG v Froch
Can only bet on Froch. Golovkin looking good but only against average fighters, much as Bute and a lot of other fights have done. Froch has 5 inches in reach and a few inches in height, just can't see how Golovkin would be able to get inside the jab, let alone enough to hurt Froch. I think like the Abraham fight but more competitive.

Golovkin is masterful at cutting off the ring. Froch cannot fight when its up close which Ward exploited. I think Frochs toughness would really be challenged. GGG has a better defense and has looked pretty solid chinwise. It looks like a very tough fight though because Froch has a decent jab, good right hand and uppercut. Golovkin is the better boxer I feel but that rarely matters vs Froch. One thing is for sure, it would be a tough fight for both guys. If i had to bet on the fight, I'd take Golovkin to win but Froch has a very real change. I wonder how the bookies would price it up.

Even if Golovkin goes up, Froch has categorically said he will "swerve Golovkin like the plague". Fight won't happen unless Golovkin becomes big PPV in the states. If Golovkin blasted JCC out, then maybe Froch could be enticed by the money with HBO PPV in Vegas. GGG is fighting Geale next though. If GGG beats Geale then gets the JCC fight on PPV and beats him, then he could become a multi million dollar payday for Froch where essentially the americans bringing him over as a sacrificial lamb for Golovkin in their eyes (we know better), but unless the reward is absolutely huge he won't be going anywhere near GGG.
