Family history- George Stirling

Any have any knowledge of George Stirling- an Australian boxer in the early 1900's known locally as the Cobar Chicken? He fought overseas between 1902 and 1904, I can find no record of his death in Australia- does anyone know if he fought overseas after about 1929?
