The first 2 Morales vs Olivares bouts are the reason I created this award in the first place. Their 3rd fight was no exception with the WBA Championship at stake and a spot in the Semi Finals of the Million Dollar Tournament on the line Morales and Olivares went to war again, and delivered possibly the best fight of their epic trilogy.
With a dramatic assault in the 15th round, Morales was able to pull ahead just enough to take the fight by 1 point on all 3 scorecards, but Olivares damn sure made his presence (and his punches) felt in this bout.
Am I little bias? Maybe, but I think Morales and Olivares delivered the goods in Week 30 just like they did in Weeks 11 and 13. I don't think these guys could fight a dull fight if they tried.
