Derry Matthews - stripped of British Title?

Just noticed on the Chisora - Fury 2 undercard Terry Flanagan is facing Martin Gethin for the vacant British Lightweight title.

Has Derry Matthews been stripped or has he given it up?

Stripped due to injury I think so not able to make the date.

Glad Gethin is getting another chance but think Flannagan will be too much.

I think Derry possibly gave it up so others can fight for it. I see he has also hooked up with MGM Marbella etc, they seem to be forming quite a stable out there now.

Maybe he will fight the winner when he's back fighting ?

Does anyone else think Flanagan maybe one of the top lightweights in the country I could see him beating all of them including Burns now.

He vacated it so must have something else in the pipeline

He's going into training camp shortly for 8 weeks so something is lined up. He's now managed by Daniel Kinahan and signed to MGM.
He's also been mad busy getting his new gym ready for its big August opening.
Iain Butcher has also moved over.
