Terry Holmes

Post by Taansend »

Apologies if this has been asked before (possibly by me after a piss up) but does anyone have any info on Terry Holmes? Burst onto the scene aged 21 after a win over the previously highly regarded Dean Byrne but has only fought once in the 27 months since then.

Is he injured? Promotional problems? Anything?

Thanks in advance.... :TU:

Don't know why he ain't fighting but very good little fighter. Sure it was his debut when we boxed. Really put shots together well. Going in with debutants is always tough coz u don't know what's coming. Went in thinking I'd have an easy one and it turned out a tough one.

Bloody hell, half the fighters in the UK are related nowadays  Maguire was the kid who Adam Booth said was the most talented he'd ever trained wasn't he?

Hi handsofstone,

If you find Johnny on the "search" page on this site, go to the fight you want and click on the date - it brings up all the bills on that date.

You can then find the one that you are looking for and it includes the full bio.

Hope that this makes sense - let me know if you can't find it.

thats the show mate.we were the floater just before the main event.we checked the kids record and it was peppered with first round ko's.i had to really dry out to make weight only to have Perez a few pound above the limit.we took money from his purse.he weren't impressed. And did all he could to lay me out.sfter feeling his power the first shot he threw.i had to play really dirty just too see the final bell.that kids power was frightening.a million times harder than anyone else I fought Most of the crowd were booing me but that night I did what I had too. Could've been the brave lion having a go or the little worm messing, running , fouling. But who ever heard of a worm skin rug?
