How much money can Tyson Fury have made ??

Post by TJ77 »

I read Colin Hart's column in the sun "I know I'm a wrong un but it was lying around the canteen at work".
In it he makes assumptions that Fury is vastly wealthy and that he should be fined £100k for his disgraceful behaviour and language at the Chisora presser.
Fury himself is throwing £100k bets about but with the Haye fight falling through which would of been his golden egg he can't have made a deal really can he?
I know he is young and traveller culture is brash and flaunty showy and not exactly skint.
Is he the face of horse shoe's in the travelling community with a multi million pound deal we don't know about or have I underestimated how much you get for fights in Blue Water/Brentwood leisure centre?

I agree with your post it is an old boys club behaves badly yet is given credibility by certain members of the gutter press.
In this scenario and others before it the likes of Fury have played into it.
Which begs the question are they in on the chirade ie manufactured outburst x manufactured outrage x supposed credible governing bodies intervention÷promotion gained v fine issued = Colum inches filled , Board seen to be doing their job, Fight gets promotion everyone's a winner .
Your average sun reader won't question it but we the public are being mugged again IMO

All disciplinary fines go to the board benevolent fund to help ex boxers in need as far as I am aware

I don't believe that Tyson is vastly wealthy by any definition of the phrase (yet), but what do I know?

I've been a big Tyson Fury fan but I'm struggling with him now and I'm glad Colin Hart and the other journalist at least took issue with Tyson's behaviour. At least some journalists care about how the boxing and its professional athletes are portrayed. Presumably Bunce was sat there sniggering as he often does? Maybe I'm missing the point? Perhaps this is the big push to get boxing back on the BBC. I'm sure they'd look at this and love to get involved again.

Can I ask why you are or were a big Tyson Fury fan?
I struggle to comprehend what attributes he has that people are fanatical about.Am I missing something or is it the fact that he is bringing a bit of novelty to a poor division?

Colin Hart is too cute for most. He's doing his mate Warren a huge favour by using the holier than thou act to promote a struggling card.

The board are masters at dealing with nonsense like this. They have the process well sussed. Make all the right noises, sound stern, and put the day of reckoning back so far less than 1% of the people who were appalled by the inciting incident will remember it, or care, by that point. Then, a small (relatively speaking) fine, a few platitudes, and everyone moves on.

He is 50 times more exciting and interesting than Kell Brook.

Why wouldn't he have fans?

They lose more and more credibility each time they do it though.
Then when a tough call comes up :OhYes: they are open to ridicule even if they make the right choice.
Imagine if world football had a similar governing body....oh hang on.

I found Colin Hart's sexist joke about 'flat-chested strippers' more offensive than Fury swearing. The bloke's a knob head.

IYO he is.
I won't discuss Brook until their is something to discuss and then it probably won't be with you as when he lifts the IBF you will be nowhere to be seen for sure.
I never said he wouldn't have he clearly has fans.
I asked as to what made them a fan of his I see no real skills he is clearly deluded and a very loud character with no real scalps to speak of.
He is not unlikeable but are people a fan of the hype machine that is his mouth or the fighter?

I saw raw potential when winning the ABAs as a 19 year old. I wanted to see how far he could go as I thought there was a lot there for a decent trainer to work with. He's been fun to watch and I like the heart and character he has shown in some fights. True, he maybe shouldn't have had to call on them but I think we'll see a lot more exciting fights from him in the future - starting with the one on Saturday - should be a classic, seriously.

I've been a fan of Tyson since before he turned pro. I always knew he was a gobby twat but so am I.

But since the Haye debacle (X 2) he's been ultra bitter & rather boring. I hope he grows out of it soon.

I'm also 50/50 in the fight next week.

I stopped reading the Sun years ago. If they still use Colin Harts pieces on boxing then they clearly haven't improved.
Hart is so arrogant he is ignorant to most facts concerning boxing he has been lucky to be around.

That comment got ignored Spud, as it doesn't fit with their belief of the "bent boys club ran by gangsters" like some of these guys keep banging on about with the bbbofc.

Tyson seems disillusioned with boxing already. he says a lot of things other fighters feel but daren't say.

Quite a good point about bellew going unpunished

I agree - and I am sure that the BBBofC will say the usual stuff about how they can't act unless somebody complains in writing (just like they did when it was an open secret that boxers for a certain promoter were not being paid).

I think if they tried to fine Tyson big money he would tell em to go get facked , They are a bit of a toothless tiger really , what they going to do ban him , Me thinks they would soon back down if Tyson got a good lawyer and sued them for restriction of trade , and he is the sort to do it

Shame the BBBoC and their journalist pals couldnt actually concentrate on the appalling British refereeing and judging taking place regularly. Britain now has an awful name abroad for corrupt hometown decisions. Or fighters not getting paid. But no that would involve doing something difficult and upsetting a few of their buddies.
