According to the ring announcer, this was Hector Lopez's pro debut, meaning this is not the same Hector Lopez currently "linked" in the entry for this bout. This Hector Lopez was said to be a local kid, fighting out of Yakima, Washington. After an initial exchange at the bell, Davis overwhelmed Lopez, who dropped to the floor and went into a "turtle" position, not rising until long after the referee reached a count of 10.
