GRANDPA: Kids, there was this big and tough Ukrainian champ, Wladimir Klitschko. He was the best.
KIDS: Wow, grandpa. Who did he fight?
GRANDPA: Every ranked and fat white guy you could possibly imagine. Pulev, Povetkin, Pianeta, Leapai and Earnie, that guy who died at McDonalds last year.
KIDS: Did he fight any black people?
GRANDPA: Yes, he was never afraid of black people. He fought David Haye.
KIDS: He was small and only halfblack.
GRANDPA: He fought Samuel Peter.
KIDS: Dad, even white kids aren't scared of Africans, only the American blacks.
GRANDPA: Oh yeah? How about Tony Thompson?
KIDS: Grandpa, why didn't he fight that tall and athletic American black guy with a 100% KO score?
GRANDPA: Too athletic and not small enough. Besides, Wilder didn't prove that he belonged in the ring with Wladimir.
KIDS: I think Wilder would beat him.
GRANDPA: Come on, kid, no one would want to see Wladimir fight such a loser.
KIDS: Which fight did people want to see more at the time?
GRANDPA: Sometimes, it's not about what most people want, otherwise America would be a true democracy. Wilder was a bum.

Wilder.... is unproven... the hype surrounding this man mind boggles me.

I will not fall victim to the "heavyweight hype" race as I did for Joe Mesi, Tommy Morrison, Michael Grant and others.

The fact remains, one man (Klitschko) has essentially dominated and eliminated any and all threats. He could reign for another five years and not have so much as a hiccup along the way. The other man (Wilder) has only beaten inactive ex champions or complete stiffs. It is comparable to someone taking on a journeyman in preperation for a world title match--- as Tyson did with Brian Nielsen, before facing Lennox Lewis.

True, he could always land the proverbial "lucky punch", but this is SCIENCE, not fantasy. Haymakers and rough tactics, dont win boxing matches against elite professionals. His #2 ranking is a joke. The world is so desperate for a hard punching heavyweight who doesnt box, but slugs, that it will sacrifice its integrity to pass along hopefuls as worthy challengers. Its the 1910's all over again, and its a small wonder that BHop or some other smaller, name challenger hasnt been recruited to defeat Klitschko--- because people are almost incensed to see Vladimir lose in any way, shape or form. He's the white Jack Johnson. Bring on the "Great Black Hope" Wilder and see how well he fairs with a man who has been undefeated for eight years, and is on his way to tying Larry Holmes in title defenses.

I agree, bring on the big black hope. If Wilder loses, he loses, and if he wins, he wins. Wladimir should try to make this fight to shut up his critics and prove he is not scared of a black American at his own size.

In my opinion, Thompson and Peter, were far more dangerous than Wilder is. Samuel Peter had tremendous power and seldom ever took a step back and could take a punch--- and Thompson, even in his advanced years, shows he can out smart, out hustle, and out class giants. All Wilder has really demonstrated is that he is big, strong, and that he is phenomenal against old men and mid level journeymen.

wladimir needs to fight wilder but it makes much more sense to fight him as a world champion. if he fights wilder now everyone says that wilder is an unproven bum.

he should let wilder take the belt from stiverne and then unify against him. it would be a much bigger fight then. it should not take too long though because wladimir is getting old and in 2-3 years he might not be good enough anymore.

Which Black Heavyweight has Wladimir avoided and who cares if the heavyweight is black or white? Take your stupid racism elsewhere. You must have come from Eastside.

Who's talking bout Wladimir not fighting "black americans"?

There aren't even any "black americans" to fight. There is definitely a lot of sh!t to criticize Wlad about, but the lack of fights against a barely existing entity in the elite of the division is about the silliest mfing thing to criticize him about.

Now granted Deontay is creeping up on a fight it would seem, but even he ain't there yet so its not like Wlad is avoiding him. If anything it would seem like Wlad was avoiding white Bulgarians (although I've heard all sorts of reasons he hasn't fought Kubrat yet & most of them had to do with Kubrat).

Yeah, I don't think that the author of the OP is black. If he is, he definitely doesn't represent any conversation any black guys ever had anywhere.

Wilder just starting fighting guys with a pulse, and Wlad is already being accused of ducking him.

This perfectly explains why Klitschko should not fight Wilder now, it stupid for Klitschko to fight Wilder now, because no doubt he will knock him out easy, and after the fight there will be same comments about Klitschko from somewhere else in the world that Wlad is only scared of Fat tall British fighters,

but after Wilder takes the belt from Stivern Klitschko vs. Wilder Unification bout will the the biggest Heavyweight PPV fight in USA in a long time with both fighters making huge money. so all the critics just need to relax and wait for the perfect moment of a huge Heavyweight mega fight.
