Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Hope Floyd calls in May for the often talked about Floyd UK fight (or a US fight cuz beggars can't be choosers)?
See if he can get a fight with Manny?
Lure Amir Khan into a big UK fight?
Rematch with Shawn?
Try to line up a fight with a another top undefeated contender in Keith Thurman?
Juan, Tim, Robert, Devon or Brandon?
Random easy or keep busy defense in the UK?

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
I think he's wanted to fight Khan for a while. With this win the fight became significantly more marketable, and I imagine that it would be quite big in the UK. It' s also very winnable for him.
Please no Porter rematch. The fight wasn't entertaining and Brook clearly won.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Should be Thurman, but expecting it to be Khan in a winner gets Floyd type of crap promotion. Which is a joke.
Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Thurman deserves it but I think Khan is maybe the most fruitful choice.
Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Have a gimme voluntary (earn some $$) defence back home. He should let Khan do the asking, Amir dismissed him for years giving it “he's not in my league”. The Khan fight can wait. Wouldn't go near Thurman next.

I think Brook vs Bradley will be interesting.

Khan at Wembley ala froch v groves. Both get a huge payday with a chance of a rematch. Makes sense for everyone. Maybe a relatively'easy' defence vs devon alexander in the UK.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Obviously he should take a Floyd fight if the opportunity is there, although hugely unlikely. I think Kell will end up having an easy defence in the UK before taking on Amir.
Don't personally think Brook v Khan is anywhere near big enough for Wembley tho.
He should stay well away from Thurman, bad bad match-up for Kell.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
I honestly hope Brook tells Khan he will fight him if he wins a title or beats Thurman first....otherwise he brings nothing to the table.
He has said he wants Thurman or Floyd next, and Khan can wait in line. If he goes for the most money Khan would be a big sell, but to me the most interesting match-up would be Thurman. Khan doesn't deserve a title shot after only one win at welter....especially after thumbing his nose at Brook's offer last year to fight for $5 million.
If Brook were to beat Khan or Thurman, he would very likely get the Floyd sweepstakes next year. I hope that is his goal.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was Bundu next... Winnable first defence in front of a home crowd before sorting out a Khan fight early next summer for the big pay day he wants.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Should be a tickover fight in the winter followed by a big summer fight at wembley vs khan.
This fight would easily sell out wembley.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Good call. His management didn''t rush him into a title fight in the first place, so IMO they will go for a B-team fight. Bundu fits the bill. He's not a cupcake but Brook would have all the physical advantages and should win comfortablyCheckHook wrote:I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was Bundu next... Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
I would say it was a close enough fight for a rematch at some point, had Brook been a voluntary defence for Porter then an immediate rematch would definitely be fair.DMA1987 wrote:Why?thunderfromdownunder wrote:Rematch
Personally I'd like to see him fight Therman next, but I'm guessing it would make financial sense to fight Khan first.
Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
The winner of Khan vs Brook would definitely win the Mayweather sweepstakes

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Agreed... except the part about Thurman. Keef didn't look comfortable at the end of the fight last nite, or at least as jolly as he was before it started anyways.zero wrote:Have a gimme voluntary (earn some $$) defence back home. Lotta people got surprised by Kell's skills last nite, and figured Porter had a "walk over"... not so much...
Hopefully Kell does take a "stay busy" "make some dosh" fight... He seems to be a decent bloke so not answering Khan's tweets, I've got no problem with...
Mayweather would be at least a year aways... which is ok cos UK dudes only fite once per year... loads of frustrated birds on that isle...
Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
I don't want to see a rematch ever. Awful fight to watch. Just brutal. Brook is a good fighter I just hope he doesn't make a career of fighting like a 50 yr old Hopkins. He's too young to be having to fight in such a manner. When Andre Ward fights like that we never hear the end of it.

Re: Whats Kell Brook's next move?
Respect to Kell if he sticks to this, I tend to think Floyd is unlikely next although its not like there is an obvious choice either (unless he lost to Marcos than rubbermatch obviously), but I don't think Keith will be hard to find.
Kell Brook: “I’m ready for a mega, mega fight next. I’ll take on Keith Thurman or Floyd Mayweather. Amir Khan should get in queue now. I’m the world champion now so they’re all going to want to fight me.”

Khan or Thurman!
Khan can knock him out, but may get knocked out himself. I'd favor Thurman to win a stoppage!
