Russia and IS warning; Should NATO re-arm?

Post by Broomhall »

In the west due to the economic downturn and the changing political landscape the west has generally been on a programme of defence reduction.

But are we giving our potential enemies a head start? Is it time to re-arm?

you may want to get this moved to O/S mate

i saw the guy in the link interviewed last night. he got a nice swipe in at Cameron.

I understand why he's airing the concerns he is airing, but I don't see any prospect of them being addressed.

maybe the bottom line- job creation- might nudge central gov't into more defence spending, but I can't see it, when all other 'services' are being cut. PR suicide, which Dave won't contemplate.
