Did Naz drop the WBC belt or was he stripped?
And did a good job of avoiding WBO number one Juan Manuel Marquez while champion.deadpan wrote:Naz opted to stick with WBO. The easy route.
That always makes me wonder. He refused to fight Marquez, but decided to take on Barrera, who, IMO, at that time was by far the better fighter. He was under no obligation to get in the ring with Barrera, so calling it the easy route is a little harsh in relation to some of the protected fighters we have at the moment.bennie wrote:And did a good job of avoiding WBO number one Juan Manuel Marquez while champion.deadpan wrote:Naz opted to stick with WBO. Marquez was a nobody over here when Hamed was WBC champ, think Marquez just lost to freddie Norwood. Hamed would of KO'd Marquez at that time.bennie wrote:And did a good job of avoiding WBO number one Juan Manuel Marquez while champion.deadpan wrote:Naz opted to stick with WBO. The easy route.
