Lucas 'big daddy' Browne....nice guy?

Post by rhino222 »

Well, hear me out on this one before you all jump on my back. I follow Lucas on Instagram, always respected the guy and he is very active on this aspect of social media. I questioned him by open message when he mentioned 'winning his world title'... as he was referring to his WBF tilt against Toney. I simply suggested he was not being realistic in believing that he was in fact a world champion. His response surprised me.... he does recognise himself as a world champion, because I am not a boxer he suggests I am not entitled to an opinion, he questioned how many 'legends of the sport' I had beaten?.............

Obviously I explained to him that Toney was many many years and about 5 stone past his best and stated that Lucas was a contender to the title with a punchers chance of being people. His boxing skills are very limited as far as I'm concerned.

All Im suggesting is that these fighters who use social media as a platform to augment their fan base should realise they are open to criticism for some of the stuff they spout. We are entitled to know about 'the game'..... personally I have not boxed at anything above schoolboy level but I do consider myself to be relatively knowledgeable about the sport I love, and other sports for that matter.

So, if you read this Mr Browne, you are not world champion. Your beating of a legend of the sport in James 'lights out' Toney is about the equivalent to me slapping Muhammad Ali and claiming to be 'the greatest'.

People are allowed opinions, even if you don't agree with them. if you don't like social Media feedback then don't engage in it.....simples!

We don't all have to blow smoke up everyone's ar$e!

Deep down he knows the wbf dont make him a real champ or why would he be aiming for a date with the kbros or even trying to move up the ranks if he was already a world champion. WBF dont make no money cause it aint the real ,no knocks at the door ,no top contenders wanting to fight for it, I find that quite punkish ,winning a wbf/wbu/iba or even a ibo or any other then big 4 tittles dont make you the man its just a stepping stone belt. You dont have to beat a legend to know when some ones past it and fighting well above ideal weight.

He was blown smoke and asking you to toke it.

not at all, he is/was deadly serious. he considers himself to have won a world title and asked me how many legends of the sport I have beaten. As I stated on the far better and busier uk forum...... I could beat ali and frazier on the same night. does that make me the greatest?

he knows, but its likely the closest he's gunna get to a real one, so he is sensitive about it. some people don't like criticism.

What a stupid thing to say. The far better and busier UK forum. Busier yes but better? Better for what? Views on British boxing, this forum is better for views on Aussie,nz and pacific boxing. Funny that. Knob.

Don't mind tsmithy, or cockhead as he's known to his mates, Rhino. The bitter old c#nt will be happy soon, as soon as he has succeded in chasing everyone from this forum. Traffic here has dropped off significantly since he started posting here, he even has his own thread in which he talks to himself. Do make sure you turn the light off when you leave, Smith.

Oh, Busted, the forum's resident idiot. Nice of you to wade in blindly on something that has nothing to do with you, you goose. Now, be careful who you call a liar, you know what they say abiut people in glass houses and all, the half dozen decent posters on here dropped off the same time Smith came on board leaving you smith and now that siuth pacific clown. All shite posters. Even thus forum's moderator can't be stuffed coming in here regularly. Now, in reguards to lying, do go on again about how I've been "owned" at the other place "lol" when you've just "owned" yourself here by being a so-called grown man using terms such as "owned" and "lol", you goose.

:witzend:

It's like every damn Aussie is stuck up on Browne like he's a quality fighter.
I personally think the guy's too over-rated.
I don't know why some boxing enthusiasts even consider him entertaining?
He's slow and out of fitness, clearly wide open for counters, has sloppy footwork,
and his "power punches" seem to be coming from arm strength not body strength.

I haven't read or heard any one of these Browne groupies explain to me what's
so good about Browne? Yeah he's undefeated, but you've got to question the quality
of fighters he's been doing rounds with. :??
