Eamonn O'Kane

Post by jujigatame »

Just watched this guy's fight on the Frampton/Martinez undercard, and wow he got away with one. He was eating right hands and he turned his back to avoid punishment about half a dozen times. Horrible performance and I wonder if the ref stopping it before the end of the 4th was a little bit of home cooking to make it a tech draw rather than a loss.

Is he considered a serious UK prospect?

He got stopped by John Ryder who in turn lost a close fight to BJS.

He was also lucky to get the decision against Hope last year.

O'Kane is still on the periphery at the moment. He will need to make a big improvement in his game if he is to step up to fight BJ Saunders. I would suggest that he fights Nick Blackwell and Danny Butler before he makes any attempt on Saunders.

He'll probably lose against Blackwell or Butler though.
