Agreed, a very good read. I have just bought Scream the Mike Tyson Tapes by the late great Jonathan Rendall.

It was a good read. First boxing book I've read in years. Gave really good insight into Eubank.

It was a fantastic book. Brought everything back to me. I guess a lot because I had a personal attachment to that era. It was probably the most into boxing I have ever been.

I had forgotten so much detail, and this book brought it back. The 1st Benn Eubank fight was on a Sunday?! Can anyone remember why? Also the DJ messing up Eubank's entrance. Chris's close attempt to KO Benn with his first punch, the soldiers leading Benn in.

I had to stop every so often and watch youtube fights from the book. The crowd was nuts at Benn - Eubank - everyone standing up. Packed, screaming. It was like the Colysseum. Health and safety were not so strict then...

Benn Watson was also on a Sunday if I remember rightly. Must have been ITV's choice.

I've got the book, it's ok.

Dirs is not a great journalist, look at his stuff on the BBC. His Boxing stuff is woeful. He does have to cover multiple sports though. I remember him from the old BBC message board days, he was clueless.
