troy james vs ronnie clark british title eliminater

Post by Boxing Brains »

I am getting stick on anohter thred about ronnie clark. personnaly having seen him on a couple of occasions i dont think he is at this kind of level. his boxing is crude and he takes more punchs than he proberly should. am i missin somethin with him. daviddee and jamiem seem to say he has fast hands and can box.
i would like opinons from other posters on here about wether i am wrong. can ronnie clark beat troy james i would be surprised but im open to hearin diferent opinions

Not getting stick everyone has an opinion, to say someone can't fight who's not lost a fight as a pro is sheer stupidity, doesn't matter who's infront of him or how he's done it he has got job done, what posters say on here is irrelevant, ask people who are in the know, his managers, his trainers, sparring partners, previous opponents, calling him disrespectful? How would you know? He shows respect
To all his opponents and boxing is kind of sport where call outs happen, shows ambition, as for taking shots you don't go swimming not expecting to get wet, he's never onces been in trouble in a of his fights so it's not a worry as of yet,

Ronnie is good against guys that come to win. Against some of the "journeymen" he hasn't looked brilliant but when guys come forward they left themselves open and Ronnie gets to them. He's not slow, but does take a shot or 2 but it is boxing haha. I think he can beat Troy James. Ronnie has a bad habit of giving rounds away but if he sets a fast pace and works in every round I think he will get the win.

Ive seen both boxers a few times but havent see James in a while but i believe he's still a good fighter simalar to Ronnie just waiting on his chance

I might be bias as ive met Ronnie a couple of times and he's been nothing like he's betrayed on here, arrogant, mouthy etc, some of the threads can go on for a few pages/days but TBF to Ronnie he doesnt really get involved too much in the verbal tennis and usually posts in now and again, davidee and jamiem do but in their defence they always willing to speak their mind and it never gets too petty like over on Current Scene, its a boxing forum, venting your opinion is the name of the game and i like to see young fighters and their team pit their wits online,us fans can get involved and that can only be a good thing,Dundee's got a few good prospects boxing just now but the city's never been affilited with boxing, well apart from Dick McTaggart but if Team Clark werent on here, barely anyone outside Scotland would know him but because he's on here, people from all over UK know of him, some might not like him but as long as they know him they'll remember the name and again that can only be a good thing

I had him beating Walsh by a round or 2,one of the rounds is missing online but either way i thought Ronnie edged it,as did about 75% of people ive spoke to

Ryan went on to give Selby a tough night so its a decent yardstick

Hopefully both fighters are fully fit and let the best man win

I've personally met & spoke to Ronnie and we had a lengthy chat, I found him a very polite, knowledgable young man. Of course he must be confident in his ability has must any fighter, that's not cocky or arrogance, it's confidence. If team Clark don't make noise then no one would hear about him, like most young upcoming fighters without big backers/promoters so IMO I think it's a good thing. I think Ronnie is a good fighter and we (Team Troy) are expecting a tough fight, and not underestimating him, Do I think Ronnie will beat Troy ? Call it bias opinion, but No, I truly believe Troy can stop Ronnie, in a tough, close at times fight, but obviously Ronnie's team will say the same about Troy, not long now and we shall find out :D good luck to team Clark, safe journey down and look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks lads :TU:

Well said Dean.. The boy who put up the thread has another agenda think he might be a disgruntled ex member of Team Clark who got punted for being useless ha.. I would like to thank Him though your keeping Ronnie to the top of the forums.. We are hardly needing to do anything. For everyone in boxing this is a genuine 50/50 fight both bangers who like to come forward. Obviously Team Troy think they are gonna edge it and we feel that Ronnie will edge it. No cuts please Dean ha.. Looking forward to the fight I'm a boxing fan and get to see a fight that will be electric what more can I ask for?? (The Shark early KO) haha . I think Ronnie will outbox Troy and win on points. Troy as usual will give a very good account of himself and give Ronnie trouble shame there is no TV covering this

Really classy answer from team Troy, I'm sure at times we are heavy and force out opinions over but to say he's a crap boxer is laughable, every other pro has fought same
Opponents as him , he has tried to fight people with positive records, he fought a guy who was 4-0 prospect on a days notice lol, ask Alex Morrison it was his show!

Haha if you have never heard of them they must be rubbish.. Both very good Amateurs.. Sparring doesn't matter for this fight Ronnie is coming out to fight toe to toe with Troy.. The bigger puncher will win.. Really Ronnie is just needing the rounds these are good kids..

He's on his Facebook page and was clearly involved at one stage and is not anymore. Be good if he just said that.. Don't get people who want to see people they have worked with want to struggle or do bad.. No matter what decisions Ronnie has made he has made them for his own reasons.. Right or wrong life's too short to hold grudges.. Some of the stuff is pretty disrespectful

Haha @ Boxing Brains!!! You really are a tit

It's obvious you don't know what your talking about!! All of the sparring this week has been top class, I know because I'm there everyday unlike you!! If you really want an opinion on the sparring maybe you should come to Lochend tomorrow and watch it 1st hand!

And just to correct you on a few points, I personally asked Peter Harrison for sparring with both Jordan and Scott but Peter said no!!! And Ronnie asked Paul Weir today for sparring with John Simpson because he was looking for sparring partners but they once again declined.

We can't spar with them if they don't want to spar!! At least the guys at Lochend will help others when it comes to upcoming fights.

Thanks to all the guys at Lochend for the help!

i doubt thta peter wold pass up on sparrin for jordy or scott. they wold spar anyone they are proper fightres. or simmy wold not spar thats a joke. since scott was at his peak simmy has been the closest we have had to his warrior spirit. just wish scott cold have showd his tru potential instead of wastin it by drinkin drugs and fightin outside the ring.

Boxing brains- it does come across as your issue with Ronnie and or his team as being more personal than just an opinion on a fighter. That or you are just trying to troll him and them obviously.

Guys a proper idiot, josh Taylor is an amateur as is Aston brown who ronnie has both sparred with and says they are incredible, Davie wouldn't lie about them declining sparring especially on a social media site where it could easily be proved if not true, boxing brains, are these brains also refered to as testicles?

is there 2 scott allens? im not insultin lochend boxing club but i just think he could get better sparrin elsewhre. never insulted scott allen either just said he was small bantamweight so not idel sparrin. scott harrison was some fighter and wold still be better sparrin for ronnie thna a load of amatuers. scott was one of my favorite fighters until i witnessd him sniffin drugs at a function and thta ruined how i saw him. nevr meet your heros though lol
