Mundines fantasy is fading

Post by Pureist »

Mundines very remote chance of fighting mayweather as a mandatory is diminishing after floyd announced his retirement at the end of his fight contract, if by chance he does beat sergy, who's name will he drop then, or will he imply floyd is ducking him, I'm sure he will say something stupid

Oh this is priceless. Would love for someone to make DVD of all the stupid, embarrasing things Anthony has said.

Considering Aussie boxing is on it's knees he didn't have a bad career. He was a novice and boxed brilliantly against Ottke. Only time the German ever looked like a puncher though. Good money-spinning rivalry with Danny Green. Won a title or two. Dropping to light middle was daft though. Middle was probably his best weight. Would have been better served travelling more and getting more international fights. He could have won some, lost some, but be better thought of than he is now.

wouldn't matter if mayweather had 10 titles and mundine was mandatory for all of them, he was never getting a fight with Floyd.

Agree with everything bar the part about being on its knees. Aussie boxing is where about it should be, sometimes we punch above our weight as in Fenech, Tzu, and now Prazak but guys like Geale, Solomon, Harding, Katsidis yes even Mundine were/are Genuine main eventers any where they boxed. No I think we are doing OK, just waiting for a few of these new pros to test themselves. I'm happy paying my money to go to Flemington or Malvern town hall every couple of months.
I guess its a bit like the A League, You have to go overseas to really see how good u are.

I still want to know if Mundine believes what he spews or whether he's that smart that he knows he's feeding us all BS.

Of course Mundine doesn't believe in the dribble flowing from his vocal chords. Our Man has watched the exploits and personas of the great "heel" characters in the wrestling and has created his own "heel" personna.

Mundine scripts himself as being an antagonist, eg. playing the race card, over the top hubris, belittling his opposition to antagonise the public. All of it programmed to sell seats and put dollars in his pocket in the public's expectation that sooner or later someone will give him his come-uppence.

That old devil time has finally caught up with Mundine, and his next fight will see him get that final come-uppence, but he will be laughing through his mouthguard thinking of his final payday from the punters, and muttering under his breath "still fooling them"!

If the Clottey debacle was anything to go by Mundine's ring days are numbered.

The trolls on the other forum are claiming you are taking an enforced holiday from there. Truth doesn't seem to be something they are particularly good at.

Just about had enough of the place myself. I'll laugh when everyone else has gotten wise and buggered off and there's just the 4 trolls left. It might not be too far away either. .
