Can anyone handle Witter?????
If Junior Witter had a rematch with Zab Judah he would knock Judah out cold.
He can move, switch hit, good chin, good speed, punches from crazy angles and a tremendous amount of power.
I was very impressed with him last night and although I think he took a few risks he was in complete control.
Is there anyone in the Worlds top 20 who could honestly handle him???

Witter is quick but Mayweather is lightning. Mayweather is the best in the Lightwelterweight division. Im with Bennie here he should look to Urkal and then see where he is. If he smashes Urkal to pieces then he may end up beating Hatton to Viv Harris. Which would be funny wouldnt it. The thing with the Light Welterweight division right now is there isnt really a weak belt. Some people think of the WBO belt as a step below the rest (WBA, WBC, IBF) but Judah is the WBO holder right now and I think Pinto will fight Cotto to determine the new champ shoul Judah want to stay at Welterweight.
good chin? I doubt it, he was rocked by that stiff Haeck!!!
But he is a good boxer, good puncher, but he needs to prove himself still!
His opponent last night was never that good, he lost to a complacent Urkal.
He needs to get in the ring with someone who can counterpunch and take a punch, then we will see what he is made of, Ndou would be good, so would Magee but theres no chance of him fighting again!

BUZZ ARE YOU ON DRUGS?
For fornicate sake, Judah has been in with the best opponents, tons of experience, carries a dig, very fast and accurate....what the fornicate has Witter done?
If Judah didn't run so much in the first fight then I honestly believe he would have been knocked out.
Give me a freaking break

I do think that if Witter and Urkal meet it will be a horrible fight to watch due to their styles.REAL_DEAL wrote:Witter looked real good last night, but Battaglia wasnt the most active fighter. i think Witter may be going over to Germany if urkal wants to fight for the euro title then, we shall see how good witter is then.
Urkal will not like Witters punch power though.
Judah has been beat by the 2 best opponents he has been in with and he has not quite got the dig you are on about.Maddawg wrote:BUZZ ARE YOU ON DRUGS?

If I recall correctly it wasnt Judah who ran so much in the first fight.
AND YOU ASK IF I'M ON DRUGS? 8)

Witter not Judah running.............thanks for pointing that out.
Judah has power, he had Spinks down, he had Corley down, he nearly had Zoo down in the first round. Dont insult my intelligence with this bandwagon crap.
It is becoming like the light middleweight situation a few years ago, people had Roberts beat Oscar de la hoya, Richard Williams beating Fernando Vargas..........and so on, and so on...............once again, give me a break.

Hatton beats fighter's of Battaglia's standing and higher on a regular basis and gets slated to high heaven.
Witter does the same thing, and is all of a sudden capable of beating Mayweather...please
Thank god someone sees the light, good post mate, totally agree with your comments.
Excuse me Buzz i think you are forgetting that Judah is "One of the greats of the modern era" according to that cauldron of knowledge Jim Neillybuzz wrote:Judah has been beat by the 2 best opponents he has been in with and he has not quite got the dig you are on about.
Witter will need to stop Urkal if they fight because he will not get the decision in Germany whether Urkal is fading or not, Urkal cannot move out of range as quick as he once could and will be hit...whether he can take the power of Witter is debatable...he couldn't manouvere out of the way of Magee's shots so easily as he once did as a fleet footed amateur and is there for the taking.
Seriously though just watch over the next 12 months now Witter is independent and there is no Fronk Wigwam at Spunks Waxwork holding him back.
He will get the big fights and should do very well.
If not I will hold my hands up and say I was wrong, but please dont think I have made this judgement from one 2 round fight.

Can anyone handle Hatton?
On a different slant.
Is he (Witter) OFFICIALLY tied to Hennessy, or can he hawk himself around? i.e. Give Barry Hearn a nudge as well etc. etc.
He needs someone to deliver the BIG challenges now.
It doesn't matter who promotes him now surely.
If Hennessy can deliver QUICKLY then fine. But we know Hearn has a track record in getting fights for bonafide titles on a more frequent basis.
Can Witter handle a Mayweather or a Judah. I don't know. I get the feeling Witter would step to the plate though.

I think some are going overboard on Witter. I know the Italian's form guide was good prior to Wednesday night and it was an impressive win for Witter but watching the fight last night I thought Witter looked wild, caught Battaliga with some shots where he was barely even looking and was an inch away from getting caught himself. Which he was until he connected in the first round. This wasn't like Hamed's KO's. sometimes he wasn't even looking.
Witter is OK and I wish him well, I'm certainly no Hatton nut-hugger either, of course they should just fight each other, it's the saddest indictment of British boxing (more specifically a twattish Hertfordshire based promoter) in recent times that the pair haven't fought. However I reckon Hatton would have blown that Italian chap away on Wednesday night too in a round or two, and would wager there are at least 20 Light-Welters in the world who probably would too as of Wednesday night.
