I was wondering if someone could help me with this question?
Where is Neil Sinclair?
Or better, can someone explain his inactivity?
Thanks in advance.
Help!
Re: Help!
He was dumped by Sports Network after turning down fights with Jimmy Vincent and Takaloo for vacant WBU titles, and is currently searching for a new promoter.paulyb wrote:I was wondering if someone could help me with this question?

Barry Hearn may sign him up and stick him on in Belfast. But Sinclair has proved a difficult fellow since winning his Lonsdale Belt outright in April 2003. It's almost as if he set his target as high as a Lonsdale Belt and, having reached his target, doesn't really have any ambition left. He wanted a WBU welterweight title shot in Belfast, and was pissed off that it was set for Manchester in December 2003. When Frankie boy rearranged the fight for Cardiff he went into a complete strop and pulled out of the fight altogether allowing stablemate Eamonn Magee to become champion with a clear points win over Jimmy Vincent. He calmed down after a few months and was then offered a fight with Takaloo for the vacant WBU light-middleweight title. He accepted, then realised what he had done, and pulled out again. That was it for Frankie, who dropped him.paulyb wrote:Thanks for that.
Does that mean that we are unlikley to see him in the near future?
Thanks in advance
Thank you for the answer to my question.
I would like to ask the following questions regarding Neil Sinclair.
1. Does this type of inactivity have a detrmental effect on ones rankings?
2. Does this type of inactivity effect ones finacial status?
3. Neil Sinclair was present for a couple fights that involved either James Hare or Jawaid Kaliq and I was of the thinking that one of them would fight Sinclair for the British Welter Weight tittle, however this never happened when Sinclair vacated - what do you guys think would have been the outcome should one these matches been made?
4. It is said that Sinclair is lacking motivation - what motivation does one require? (after all professional boxers make their living from participating in the sport)
Once again, thanks in advace.
