Glenn McCrory back on Ringside
Glenn McCrory back on Ringside
Surprised, after reading stuff on here and elsewhere about his falling out with Sky and Adam Smith, that McCrory was back on Ringside today.
Anyone 'in the know' able to explain, update of cast light on the situation between him and 'them'?

Glenn was one of the only people i actually liked on sky. The rest of them on sky that have anything to do with boxing are terrible, give me buncey and barry jones any day of the week. Ringside is one of the most wooden and one sided shows ive ever seen in my life.

They told Glenn that if he grew a daft beard and appeared on Ringside with it, then all would be forgotten. The cheeky scamps!
Re: Glenn McCrory back on Ringside
He tweeted about being gone then promptly deleted the tweet. My guess is sky demoted him from the top tier to a bit part pundit.

Has he been doing some soul searching with his beard and buddhist bead necklace, beard suits him.

Yup I like glen and always have. Ringside seems be an exercise on how not to present a boxing show. Or any show.Joellucketti wrote:Glenn was one of the only people i actually liked on sky. The most clumsy and wooden presenters who would never get work on any other sport.

Stick Nigel Benn on the show FFS. Or a pundit slot, no, they'd rather have Nicky Piper! Give Bruno a go!

Benn lives in Australia and Bruno Is bonkers. Can't see it working.Eddy wrote:Stick Nigel Benn on the show FFS. Or a pundit slot, no, they'd rather have Nicky Piper! Give Bruno a go!
Re: Glenn McCrory back on Ringside
McCrory is alright for spouting meaning-lite platitudes at the correct point in proceedings, which makes him no worse than the average ex-footballer pundit. It just means he shouldn't be fronting anything. Relegating him to part-time pundit is broadly the correct thing to do. Now, if they would only sack Jim Watt...

Mate, most boxers esp in the USA (heavyweights) are crackers. Makes it better IMO.
