Very good article and documentary thanks for this. Greaves would make a great trainer with his immense knowledge of the sport and he has the ability to communicate it too by the look of it.

Enjoyed the documentary , although it was quite difficult to watch at times. Johnny is an interesting character thats for sure and im glad his achievements will be spread to a wider audience without (hopefully) the condemnation and stigma that is usually attached to journeymen fighters.

Thanks a lot for posting that Ian ! Lovely to read things like that, the more people filled in on the cause and need for journeymen is great.youd be surprised at the amount of people that assume I was just plain crap. The journeyman role is an extreamly hard one. You develop a thick skin. Not just the fights that were hard. Also emotionally. Anyway thanks to all the posters on this thread for your comments

You're a good bloke Johnny, you did the best for your family and it's not over by a long shout - hold your head high.
Re: Johnny Greaves article
Just watched the documentary. Got nothing but respect for johnny, and developed a new found respect for journeymen. Good luck with whatever your doing now johnny, you'd make a great trainer also :)

“Boxing is just show business with blood”
I thought that was accredited to either Sugar Ray Robinson or Jose Torres, it certainly wasn't Frank Bruno who borrowed it (and why not?).
Just watched the documentary, excellent viewing.
Big respect to you Lacoste boys out there in East London, not many of us old skool casuals about these days - great to see.
