Sky should do Boxing interactive

Post by REAL_DEAL »

Just like when the football is on, Sky active would be great for boxing if you could have the following

Camera Angles

You can watch the fight at one camera angle, like up above the ring or from the side only.

Ref Cam

You can see what type of angles the ref sees a knock down from

Trainer Audio

Hear what each corner has to say during a round break and during the fight.

Fan zone

You can have two rivial supporters calling the fight, maybe someone in the game like Frank Maloney and Audley Harrison calling a skelton fight.

Also it would be good to turn off the main commentary and listen to the crowd noise

Punch stats

Unlike America we hardly see the punch stats for each round. It would have been good to see the punch stats for earl - vanzie from each round.

Back stage camera

You can view whats going on in the changing rooms before and after the fight.

Undercard action

You can watch dean phillips fight when sky dont show him fight on the main show.

I think this would be a great idea.

Yes, those would all be great. I'd actually be content with just an audio stream direct from the fight - one where you could hear the crowd and punches landing, but no commentators. I'd watch every single fight, domestic and world title in that way. :TU:

All great ideas, but i'm not sure that sky would be willing to spend the extra cash that an interactive service would need.

Is that because you want to see Hatton putting his protector on/getting showered? :D

Only Joking. I think Interactive is a great idea, my favourite would be being able to turn the commentators off and listen to the crowd (providing the mic's were amongst the crowd and genuinally capturing the emotion).

Great idea but it will be bloody hard to do a 'Ricky Hatton's opponent Cam' though won't it?
