Hello again. The exact location (missing from your records) of the April 18, 1989 bout between Dwight Muhammad Qawi and Andre McCall was the Catholic Youth Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I verified the fight's exact location while transferring my recording of the fight's telecast, which was a small Pay Per View called "Cruiser Wars '89." The ringside commentary was handled by Dave Bontempo and Mike Marley. More missing information - referee was Rocky Castellani - judge Buddy Rush scored 120-108 Qawi, judge Jack Castellani 118-106 Qawi, judge Dr. Herbert Oliver scored 119-110 Qawi. Although listed by you as for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight Championship, ring announcer Ed Darrien introduces Qawi as the defending champion. At the bout's conclusion he announces Qawi as "...and still WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight Champion." Interestingly enough, the ring used for this card came from the Bethune Douglass Community Center in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
