Eddie Hearns view against the bookmakers this week

last week Eddie Hearn said that the bookies have the fight with Macklin and Hieland way wrong
Hieland was as high as 8-1 to beat Macklin and 14-1 to KO Macklin.
I was ringside and from the first bell I knew Eddie was right and Macklin was a shot fighter

The last two weeks Eddie has been saying that Periban and Sjekloca are way to high a price
I know Eddie has to promote the card but I agree that the prices are to wide.

This is Smiths hardest fight by a mile, he has looked great but so did David Price till he go ko'd twice.

I think there will be an upset on this card because at the end of the day its sport.

I can not wait till this card and I was also told by Matchroom sports main man the Bellew will KO Cleverly,

nobody can predict sport or what will happen in a fight but people in the know have a greater chance of getting the outcome of a fight right than casual fans

All very well saying upsets happen, we all know that, but how many times has a home fighter lost on a Matchroom card in the UK over the last 3 years or so? I'd wager not many at all, can probably count them on one hand.

Rose, Bellew, Froch, Smith, Barker, Purdey all got beaten as the away fighter when challening for world titles. The point remains that very few home fighters lose on Matchroom cards in the UK. Burns obviously lost to Crawford, but that was a mandatory.

The only others I can think of apart from Purdy McCloskey and Burns is when Ochieng lost against Liam Smith and that was in Liverpool.

If Degale cannot beat Periban then he might as well hang them up..... Periban lost very widely against Sakio Bika - says it all. Bika is/was a gate keeper.

Periban vs Brian Magee would be a close call.

Smith could get beat. Dragged into the late rounds and topped. Worth a punt at those odds.

Can`t see any other potential shocks to be honest. Unless the German guy gets sparked out again, but highly unlikely. Maybe Sprott will get a bomb in and shock the World?
