That would be far too light for him i think,on that photo he looks like grizzly Adams
Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
its weird, was just reading on another thread BJS went upto 16 stone at one stage when in between fights...imagine that...BJS and fury the same weight!bigjack wrote:That would be far too light for him i think,on that photo he looks like grizzly Adams
back on topic....waaaaaaay too light for Fury at his height surely?
Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
He's shaved his head lolmercman wrote:16 stone is very light for someone of Fury's height. Either way, doesn't he look old in that photo? And I'm not just talking about the big beard, it also looks like he's lost a lot of hair recently.
Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
Yeah admittedly his hair seems to be thinning although his actual hairline doesnt seem to of moved much which is odd.mercman wrote:That's a close crop he's got there, I admit, but have another look: he's thining (body and hair...)lefty wrote:He's shaved his head lolmercman wrote:16 stone is very light for someone of Fury's height. Off topic a bit here but no point in starting a new thread
Does anyone know the reasoning in the Fury/Chisora rematch being for the vacant British HW title?
Chisora's European title's on the line plus its a WBO eliminator so its already a big fight and beyond domestic level, both men have already held the belt so its not as if they want to add the Lonsdale to their CV and neither are close to getting the belt for keeps ,not that the winner will defend it either way so why not let Joshua,Cornish or anyone else ranked fight for it?
Im glad the belts active again,i dont think its been contested since Price KO'd Skelton a couple years back or whenever it was but i would rather boxers who were at domestic level duke it out amongst one another rather than saturdays winner vacate in about 6 months time without defending and having to wait for another 2 fighters to fight for the vacant belt again

Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
I think it was put out to purse bids a while ago by the board, doesn't do any harm having it on the line, good to see the British title being contested in a big fight like this. If Fury wins he needs 2 more defences, but a win for Chisora would leave him needing one more defence and Wlad has a voluntary next, so he could take it outright in a keep busy fight between now and fighting for the world title.handsofstone wrote:Off topic a bit here but no point in starting a new thread

Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
I've watched some of the presser now. Fury was just giving a stupid response to a stupid question. A journalist, who may be senile and sounded a bit like Colin Hart, asked if Tyson was down at 16 stone. Fury answered with a bewildered smile.

If he weighs in at 16 stone I'd really consider some money on Del Boy..
Re: Fury hoping to weigh as little as 16 stone?!?
Because they're the two best British heavyweights and the British title should be for the best, not also-rans.handsofstone wrote:Chisora's European title's on the line plus its a WBO eliminator so its already a big fight and beyond domestic level, both men have already held the belt so its not as if they want to add the Lonsdale to their CV and neither are close to getting the belt for keeps ,not that the winner will defend it either way so why not let Joshua,Cornish or anyone else ranked fight for it?

Coming in at 16st 13 would mean losing 7-8 pounds off his lowest fighting weight to date
Not totally out of the question if he's been working hard? - he has always had a bit of excess flab (not being rude or disrespectful)

Fury looks like some 50 yr old mountain man hillbilly from Deliverance... Chisora must be worries if he gets floored he'll be asked to squeal like a piggy
