Tyson Fury undisciplined again?

Post by dirketo »

After winning to Neven Packic in a very bad fight and being down, he took boxing seriously and did some good performances with Martin Rogan, Madalone and Kevin Johnson. With Cunningham was down and losing until he defeated Cunningham by KO.

His last figh he came at 274lb, the highest in his career and today he's at 264lb. He should be around 250lb at his height. This time Chisora comes at very good shape and I thought before the weigh-in that he would easily defeat Chisora, but now I have my doubts.

Do you think he is in good shape? Do you see him winning?

I don't think he's in that bad shape, although he's been lighter in the past. 18st 12lbs (264) fully clothed and with shoes on is really more like 18st 0lbs (252) in boxer shorts. He could stand to lose another half-stone or so but he's not in bad shape by any means (and as his last fight showed he can still move pretty well up at 19st). More important I think is whether his head is right for this fight after all the setbacks and inactivity over the last 2 years.

he didn't get undressed. Maybe he had weights in his pockets.
We'll see what shape he is in tomorrow night...

His trainer says he should be 18 stone 7lbs. Take off the clothing and water sloshing about in his body and that is what he weighed today.

No it's not but you're general point is valid. If you think the clothes he was wearing weigh 5kg, you're barking mad. He's approximately 18stone 7lbs.

How do you know his pockets were not full with rocks. Visually he was looks thinner then ever so. Thats why I am saying that should not be allowed. Stripped them bare.

He's definitely not in as good shape as he was the last time he fought Chisora.

Makes me think if he has to weigh in clothed that he is not confident and feels the need to hide his physique

......weird one that's for sure; Fury turned-up looking as if he'd just done a quick cameo on Ice Road Truckers, all very Grizzly Adams wilderness man. Presumably the Huskies were parked out the back somewhere.

But I expect he's in shape and messing with Chisora's head a bit....and at least they both turned-up.

since the 1st fight fury went backwards to firtha, pajkic, rogan, maddalone, abell (understand the latter)
only good win was cunnigham who had him down

both beat k johson, though chisora knocked him down

really see chisora winning if he avoids a big right hand or 2

Whoops, yeah, my figure seems like too much - 5-6lbs for clothes and shoes (given that Tyson Fury is a lot taller than I and two layers of his clothes will correspondingly weigh more than mine) sounds more accurate.

Im still fancying the Fury points win, playing it safe for the most part but i wouldnt be surprised to see him flat on his back momentarily after one of Chisora's lunging left hooks, maybe more than once but i still see Tyson picking up enough points to decision Dereck

according to Peter Fury both Tyson and Eddie Chambers train really hard but they both end up looking like fat fucks in the ring, I don't get how you can train hard, do the diet right and still end up fleshy? Still Tyson will no doubt be overweight for the shape he's in and hopefully Del Boy will stop him.

People still don't get it that you can be fit without being under 10 per cent body fat. Unless you're on drugs, or naturally very lean, you start losing strength and power when you take off too much fat. Fury has an excellent physique for a steroid free heavyweight boxer.

Lennox Lewis had an excellent physique for a HW, so does Wladimir. Fury's is average.

Lennox did have an excellent physique. No comment on Wlad. For a clean white heavyweight Fury has an excellent physique too. It's not a gay mag cover shoot.

I thought fury looked in the best shape hes ever been in when I was watching the IFL build up vids, maybe it was the tight training clothes he was wearing, thought they were both looking in the best shape theyve ever been in, should be a good fight. Thinking furys gunna use his size to probably nullafy chisora though, dont think chisoras got the power to go anywhere above european level for me.

Why is it important? Answers on a postcard to 'What happened when Tim Witherspoon met Frank Bruno' at the usual address.

Lewis and in his prime, Bowe has great natural physiques. Wlad's is a little more worked out but in this day and age is perfect for a top heavy... Er no homo...

Witherspoon wasn't remotely fleshy vs. Bruno, next question?

Here is my next question - how much of a back of a stamp can you cover with your boxing knowledge?
