Sykes has been dropped.... first round...

Sykes taking TREMENDOUS body shots along the ropes...

Clear to me Walsh is the more precise boxer...

Great way to kick off the night.... Sykes gets rocked again by an uppercut...

Second round...

So far not as engaging as the first round... but still competitive...

Walsh seems to still be the better all- around boxer... the round is Walsh's

Third round....

Btw, British/Commonwealth fights are always exciting and underated all around, so much props to this event staging (more or less) 4 British championship bouts on the card...

Sykes is still taking, and Walsh is still landing hooks and jabs to the body and head...

Is bit slower of a round than the last two... but Walsh is still the superior boxer, as Sykes is missing alot of his shots

Round four...

WIll say that Walsh does have a real hard hitting jab btw... am impressed by that...

Sykes trying to kick up the action a bit... tad more aggressive... Walsh switches stances from left to right

Comnpetitive round, and I'll give it to Sykes... more active

Sykes is a proven warrior well capable of a war of attrition but Walsh looks too young and strong for him at the moment; given Walsh every round.

Round Five...

*Noticed they're wearing Reyes gloves, which is of horse-hair composition, which means harder punches*

Walsh is landing the jab almost at will, but Sykes is landing quite a few punches himself...

Great thing about featherweights, etc. is that they seldom ever clinch

Round Six... halfway through this British/Commonwealth unifier...

Sykes trying to be more aggressive... but Walsh has better lateral movement and landing the jab at will

Sykes has had his moments... but one can say alot of the punches he's landed were glancing blows

Sykes ploughing forward in straight lines but throwing combinations, Walsh dancing, better quality punches, but you know what I give that round to Sykes.

Round Eight...

Walsh is just outlanding Sykes at will... its as if Sykes is iron and Walsh is a magnet...

Sykes must be in great conditioning to take that many shots... what amazes me is him being willing to still mix it up

Phew! Admirable from Sykes after he was battered pillar to post for the first four rounds, but he's in it still.

Round Nine...

Walsh coming out aggressive... switches to southpaw to confuse Sykes...

Q in my mind is, "Is 30 too old to be a featherweight?"

I will say this much, that the longer a fight goes the more fluid a fighter gets cus of warming up... in the first Sykes was "cold" and has since looked better... but the wear and tear is showing now, cus Walsh almost got him

Walsh has found his second wind; don't know if Sykes can survive much longer; can he go to the well again?

Round Ten...

Q now is... does Walsh just cruise to a decision... or does he decide to turn up the heat?

Sykes is trying to be aggressive, trying to be a game opponent, but he's not effective

The state of his battered face says it all... gotta give it to Sykes, there is no quit in the man

Round Eleven...

Announcer says that Walsh "must be six or seven points ahead"... personally I think the gap is wider than that...

the strategy it seems to beat Sykes is, jabs to the body, use lateral movement, and counter with hooks...

surprises me how much energy Sykes actually has even at this point...

It's going to go the distance. I thought it might tho I had my doubts when Sykes hit the floor in round one.
