Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
Hearing some stories about trouble at bad blood on twitter last night (I didn't go don't know if there is any truth)
Did anyone go?
btw the stories I'm hearing on twitter I'm yet to see any proof of this.
Is this just fans chatting bullshit or did any of this happen. I know loads of bullshit flys around on twitter. As I said before I was not there so I can't comment.
I know there is trouble at most boxing events so I dont see why everyones moaning on twitter FFS!

Nothing I have heard on twitter sets last nights card apart from any other major show I have attened in the last ten years or so:
Random fights in the crowd,
Ineffective, disinterested and outnumbered security staff,
Toilet areas become indoor smoking areas,
Widespread and blatant drug use.
The simple facts are that if any of the above is enough to put you off attending major shows then I wouldnt bother buying tickets for the majority of big cards which feature ticket sellers from different areas/regions.
Sad but true

Everything was fine.
Me and my mates sat where the eff we wanted to, we smoked cigs and peed under the seats at will.
We didn't even have a ticket, just handed the doormen a crisp packet instead of a ticket.

Its what made me stop going to live fights, also some of the stick the journeymen get from dickheads in the crowd is disgustingCounter-puncher wrote:TerribleTerry wrote:Nothing I have heard on twitter sets last nights card apart from any other major show I have attened in the last ten years or so:

I wasn't there. But one would assume with BJS and Fury there, there might be a larger number of undefeated, bare knuckle boxers who're unlikely to give 'best' than usual....

Did see a couple of stories that a load walked in without tickets and stood at ringside watching the fight.reggaereggae wrote:I wasn't there. But one would assume with BJS and Fury there, there might be a larger number of undefeated, bare knuckle boxers who're unlikely to give 'best' than usual....

I've seem the same stories on twitter mostly blaming travellers. But I have seen no proof of this. Maybe its people with something against travellers or matchroom fans chatting shit. I don't know it may of happened but I want to see some proof.expe wrote:Did see a couple of stories that a load walked in without tickets and stood at ringside watching the fight.reggaereggae wrote:I wasn't there. Re: Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
There were a few scraps in the crowd but nothing big
All the travellers i met were good as gold
One of the worst organised events i've ever been to though. Shame as could have been a decent enough night. Boxing was decent enough on the whole
FW obviously thought about nothing but his profit as was a shit experience for those there
Why spend a fortune getting Jimmy Lennon Jr over and then have him announce through a PA so terrible you couldn't hear shit through it

I'v been to events promoted by FW at the Excel before so I'm amazed by some of the rumours. One being there weren't any toilet facilities??? That has to be bollocks surely.
Re: Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
Seems like the biggest problem was security and I'm not sure Fwank can really be blamed for that, hire a security firm, pay them to do the job, if they fornicate up, it's on them. As bad as Fwank can be, he's been promoting for 30+ years, he knows how to put an event on by now. Biggest complaint I've found is that Phelps woman walking out because she didn't have a seat or something, not seen complaints from any other media though.jameswilson wrote:I'v been to events promoted by FW at the Excel before so I'm amazed by some of the rumours. I've never heard a good word said about that venue, it was the reason I didn't go. I reckon Fwank would have stuck it on at The O2 if BJS-Cej was on the original card. With just Fury-Chisora he could have set up for a lot less.

David Price V Tyson Fury Liverpool Echo arena
Image the trouble scousers and travellers. Security would need riot gear. You would need some bottle to go there

I'd go. I'm neither, and would never not attend a fight for fear of trouble. There has never been any trouble at Fury fights! The only one I'd be concerned about is if Eddie was stupid enough to put Josh Warrington in a big fight on a stacked card in Manchester. Or a Manc ticket seller on a stacked card in Leeds topped by a big fight for Josh!manwhobets wrote:David Price V Tyson Fury Liverpool Echo arena

Re: Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
From what I read, it wasn't that there weren't any toilets, it's that they were outside of the venue (ie, you had to walk in a dedicated area rather in the concourse like at Earl's Court for example).jameswilson wrote:I'v been to events promoted by FW at the Excel before so I'm amazed by some of the rumours. Anyway, some strange stories/rumours regarding this event and press isn't too impressed either. The BBC are running an article on their boxing section and were clearly not happy with the Fury v Chisora fight ending at 1am.

Can't grumble at the show itself, top match making. Atmosphere for BJS v CEJ was absolutely electric, a real buzz about the place, really enjoyed the fight. Liam Walsh proving, again, he's a top, top boxer.
Mitchell Smith seemed to think he'd steam roll the guy early, realised he probably couldn't and settled in to a good performance.
Frankie Gavin was a lucky boy, thought Bradley did enough to win that, fighting very, very well off the back foot.
I need to see an interview with Don Charles, I really like the guy but Chisora has gone in there with very little game plan other than to survive and try to land a lucky hook. Looked like he bust his hand in the second I think. But perhaps some of the knowledgeable on here can explain, Chisora moves very, very well to get inside but then just doesn't throw anything. He's always done it in the past but Saturday he was regularly ducking inside and just putting his peek-a-boo guard on Furys chest. Very odd.
And so the problems. As has been said on here although Terry thinks we should all be sitting in sawdust and blood stained floors and be thankful for any boxing event, the security was ridiculous.
We are sat 4 rows from the front, £300 a ticket, and immediately it became clear that there were a number of people seat hopping because they didn't have a ticket. Personally witnessed 2 guys get huckled off their seats by irish spoken lads, when they went to security they were found other seats. The row in front of us had double the amount of people sitting in it, all knew each other, all spent more time giving the crowd the eye rather than watching the boxing.
Girlfriend said there were drunk men in the ladies toilets, which is fking madness!
Couldn't care about scuffles in the crowd, that happens but nobody should be losing their seats. Boxing is expensive to follow, people could do without the event ruined by idiots.
For me, there was not enough security personnel and the ones that were there just weren't interested. Been to as big Matchroom shows and never seen anything like the problems so for me it's down to the security firm. MAN Security.
I would also add that the people who were at the back of the floor seats must of had a real shit view. Should really have been less floor seats and more stands.
Also, traffic leaving was the same of any big even I've been to, shit!
All in all a very, very good card but not a very well organised event. Far too long a card.

There were pissed blokes in the ladies toilets at the Echo for Cleverly Bellew last week plus the odd scuffle plus problems with toilet queues / bar queues etc but nobody blamed that on Hearn (rightfully so).DazDiCanio wrote:Can't grumble at the show itself, top match making. I do think a lot of people just love to find an excuse to have a pop at Warren. It seems to me that its the venue at fault here (ok you could argue Warren chose the venue lets hope he chooses better next time).

I couldn't care less who's show it was. I have no agenda against allegedly. Just another ridiculous statement on here.
Re: Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
I remember at the Khan-Fagan fight in the Excel I went for a piss and came back to find two travellers had taken my ringside seats. At first I was told to fornicate off but after I spoke to them they agreed to give them back without an incident on the basis of my being Irish too.
Re: Trouble at bad blood last night- Anyone go? true or lies
Surely if you had to leave to get a train and the main event started after the last trains from the Excel you could get a refund - it seems farcical!
