I'm wondering, why I can't find George Fulljames on "Nonpareil" Jack Dempsey's record?
The fight (22nd-round win for Dempsey) took place on July 30, 1884 in New York, was a gloved fight, and is well documented. It's in the old Ring Record Books, and on every other Dempsey record I have seen. It's even mentioned in Dempsey's IBHOF profile, that this is the fight that gained him recognition as middleweight champion.
So why is this fight not listed under either man here on BoxRec?
Why is George Fulljames missing from "Nonpareil's" record?
Re: Why is George Fulljames missing from "Nonpareil's" recor
The bout was fought under London Prize Ring Rules.

So were some of the early fights listed under John L. Sullivan and Mike Donovan.wouter wrote:The bout was fought under London Prize Ring Rules.
Anyway... I wonder, if you might to be able to answer the question, I have asked you guys 3 times on that other thread: Is it possible, from your database, to make out how many boxers were active in a given year? You know, like you are able to tell us how many fights that took place each year?
