FW and Hearn on twitter

Post by sammy95 »

FW and Hearn are currently going back and forth on Twitter, whilst it is entertaining for now I can't help but feel this will hinder the potential match ups even further.

Those links cover most of the back and forth I beleive.

So much I don't understand about promoters...but surely it's better when you have some form of a working relationship? At the worst you can do cross promotional bouts on a "we'll let you use X if you let us use Y" basis, better for the fans, promoters and TV.

That's what I was thinking, usually they are just standard tweets about his shows, but this seems more personal and more in line wit what he says in his interviews

Just been reading over his recent tweets, I doubt it's FW who"s been running it today - he's compared Hearn fanboys to 13 year old girls who are obssessed by One Direction. While there might be some truth in that, I can't imagine FW saying it tbh. I'd be surprised if he even knows who One Direction are, I'm a lot younger than Frank & I'm not really sure myself.

Both as bad as each other. I always thought Warren was the more bitter and twisted 1 but Eddie seems to be talking bad about fw shows. Eddie criticised the fury vs chisora fight being on so late and says in his latest video with Kugan that he schedules cards as if they all go the full rounds...... Yet if the Degale & Groves fights went the full distance, Bellew vs Cleverly would've been on as late. He got lucky.

he knew the Degale fight wasn't going the distance, it was a showcase fight. Perriban was coming off 2 losses and a draw, how was he being sold as a credible opponent?
I realise how Eddie Hearn is doing things. He has taken everything the UFC has done correctly and used it.
He sees himself as the Dana White of british boxing and Kugan Cassius is his Ariel Helwani. Its smart.
However with competitive promoters people tend to pick a side.
casuals will view Eddie Hearn as the young, cool, hip promoter and FW as the old, out of touch, fuddy duddy.
Competition brings out the best in both sides, which should only work in favour of the us, the fans...

Anyone else getting bored of this crap? I know some so called boxing fans love picking sides and supporting promotions instead of fighters/fights but surely most of you are like me and just not interested in this crap.

Someone needs to tell them BOTH the fighters should be the stars! Boxing isn't the Frank v Eddie show.

Eddie is a proper snide. Why did he even feel the need to get involved with talking about Eubank

Out of order revealing purses that are nothing to do with him

Anyone revealed the other weeks PPV numbers yet out of interest?

And he's a hypocrite talking about shows finishing late. Plenty of his have. I was stuck at the o2 for hours after Froch v Kessler 2 after it finished after the trains had stopped

The difference is the o2 emailed people travel options stating that the fight could go past the last tube train and Hearn always said ring walks would be 23.15 so it was pretty easy to work out that getting the last tube would be problematic.I got an organised bus back in to london no hassle.

Others have finished late too though.

If you looked at the running order for the Bellew/Cleverly 2 card if the fights would have gone the full distance that would have finished very late too.

So it wasn't Hearns planning that made the difference between that and last weeks

True both have bodged up there running orders on certain shows it's just the o2 comparison doesn't work for the reasons in my last post

True I reckon Frank has access but mainly Francis or George run it. Frank has said in the past he can't be doing with twitter.

I'm blocked from Fwank's Twitter. Dunno why, I never tweeted him and I don't think I've ever said anything unsavoury about him.
Maybe he blocked everyone who follows his parody account...?

Either way, I'm not arsed.

My guess is that Frank has never logged into his own Twitter account.
