Boxing matters, boxing tonight, ringside or buncey ?

What show do you prefer to watch the most ?
I think they are all slightly different and i try to watch all of them, I like Paul dempsey's straight to the point questions on boxing tonight.
What's best ?

Good question and raises a point that I've been thinking about for a while, in that, Bunce's show is by far the best in my opinion but I feel that with it now being on a Friday, it has lost a lot of its appeal for me. I'll explain...

When Buncey was on a Monday night, you would get a review of the weekends action and a look ahead at the weekend to come. It felt fresh and also gave the chance to watch the show through the week(before Fri/Sat night cards begin).

Now with the show on a Friday, the review of the weekend before is old news as it has all ready been on the shows you've mentioned, all over the media and forums, youtube etc.

This leaves the Friday show to talk about the weekend ahead but if you DON'T watch the Bunce show on a Friday night or early Saturday, it becomes a pointless watch because you will know the outcome of the fights and it is old news again. That is a hell of a lot shorter time-frame for people the watch the show.

I'm sure like most of us, I have to work so I don't get that much time except on a weekend to watch shows like Bunce's(I'd much rather be watching fights from the weekend). Friday night at 7pm is a difficult time slot in most households with many wanting to watch soaps etc.

Saturday morning is doable but if a card is on Friday night, I'd be watching a recording of that Saturday morning over breakfast and Bunce's show might get a fast-forward through or it might just be left on the recorder, unwatched. A shame as I think its a great show and covers a larger field of fighters, domestically and internationally.

Pretty sure I'm not the only one struggling to fit it in!

Boxing Matters for me - I tend to prefer shows that discuss the sport seriously & they usually have decent journalists on. Just wish I could get Sky to record it on a series planner!

Bunce's show is pretty good (and Barry Jones is awesome!), although it can be a bit hit & miss at times.

Don't actually remember ever seeing Boxing Tonight, although I have a feeling it's on BT Sport which I don't have.

Haven't watched Ringside for months now; it's effectively just an advertising platform for Matchroom.

Buncey could do with Monday night and Friday Night. Sure he'd snap your arm off.

Monday review and show snips. Friday Preview and news snips.

Ringside is too dependent on same cast of characters but it is a contemporary show with a job to do promoting the product it offers, which is Matchroom boxing, and the opps to delve deeper or further away from these is lower than us die-hards would like but I like Ed R, and Adam and Johnny have evolved okay.

Though Johnny should stop shopping at Mothercare for his shirts.

The eubank and fury show last week was a good watch.

Ringsides a bit Sky biased and a bit dummed down for the casual at times (but thats Sky all over really). But it does have some great features, especially any time Ed Robinson is given airtime.

I do tend to record Boxing tonight though and fast forward through the fight highlights (as I've usually watched them) but it would be a great service for someone with BT Sport but not allegedly.

I like Boxing Matters (especially when its people like Flexan and that Declan) but since the schedule change its shown on a Monday but recorded on the Friday before meaning its a bit weird as they're like a week behind.

I voted for Buncey's show.For actual boxing discussion and breaking a fight down I think the BT Sport show has the better guests for that.Buncey's show prob the best for the hardcore fans,could possibly add a bit more technical discussion (sort of like the promos that Kellerman does with a fighter/trainer before a big fight)etc but I like Buncey's show its a little bit more relaxed than the rest.

I agree with some of the other posters that the problem with all these shows are theyre aired too late and everybody has already discussed the fights on forums and twitter etc.Plus most are out boozing on Friday nights.

Ringside potentially could be the best, they are starting to show more non tv fights from the week before, but I wish they wouldn't tamper with the edit button - show the fight in full, much prefer that to the talking.

Speaking of Bunce, what did people think of him about the Pascal fight - basically accusing Ballonti of looking for an easy way out whilst he layed still horizontally for several minutes. Thought it was a bit much really - told viewers "oh you can go to bed, he's fine"... then adding "well, we hope Ballontini is fine of course, that's our first thoughts.... but we think he's is".

I'm sure Bunce and co were correct, but not sure it was entirely appropriate as the guy was laying pole axed.

Mingle the two, you may get the odd rick because the pulse races, energy flows and the words get away.

But boxing is still better with him involved in the presenting.

Totally agree with the bunce boxing hour being better on a Monday, suppose the studio is for boxing matters, Tuesday or wednesday would be good, Thursday is packed with, helder and Cassius, boxing tonight and ringside !

Not a watchable show but I am addicted to the guys on boxing asylum. Great podcast. I download it on Monday and listen while I drive around seeing clients on Tuesday

I much preferred the old Setanta spot with Andy Kerr. Just felt better, and Bunce is a better colour guy than an anchor.

Dempsey does cut straight to the bone with his questions. Loved how he got straight into Eubank Snr when he had them on last week. I think he caught Snr off guard and tongue tied for a few.

Dempsey's great. I always get nostalgic about him dressed in a full tux for the mid 90s Sky all-nighters whenever I see him.
