Heavyweight Jo-el Scott is being questioned by police after a woman was beaten to death in Lincoln Park in Albany, New York State.
Officers were called to the park this morning by someone who heard a woman screaming. When they arrived, they found the woman badly beaten and a man sitting beside her. The man took off, and after a short foot chase and a struggle, the man was taken into custody.
Police say he is 33-year-old Jo-el Scott, once a promising heavyweight boxer who has had several run-ins with the law in recent years and has spent time in prison on rape charges.
