A lot of fighters you might never hear of. They are not the "GOAT", the P4P or the ATG. They might never be. They are, however, fighters. The train, bleed, and hurt like all other boxers, regardless or rather in spite of, their level of skill and earning power. In order not to be 'used' as opponents in this "big fish eats the little fish" sport, they have to be financially secure , somewhat enough to let them become able to train and travel all the while holding down another job that put the food on the table.
These three fighters described in this link are real fighters, who, by their records and who they have fought, have taken the road most club fighters take in this sport. Now they are attempting to come back into the sport, the right way, a way in which they wont be used as opponets, but can have fairly matched fights. They are real boxers, not Charlie Zelenoffs.
All three are scheduled to fight on February 7th. Please consider contributing and buying a cool shirt. Travel, hotel, blood work, heck, in most cases, even their opponent's paltry purses come out of their own pockets.
If you have any questions about them or the event, please pm me.
Take a look and contribute if you feel comfortable with it..

Re: Three Boxers making comebacks need your support !
Pasqual Rouse (seen him fight a few times iirc) & Nick Lavin just need to retire. Rouse is in his 40's ffs & Lavin is getting knocked out too much. I can't even condone those cats fighting. Its a shame commissions don't have tougher regulations on whos able to get in the ring. And thats not even a safety thing as much as a quality control thing. Selling tickets to fights on levels like these guys are on is like selling tickets to a YMCA pickup basketball game.
Vic is still young & I wouldn't even call him as a guy on a comeback.
Good luck with this regardless I guess.

Dayyyyymmm Reggie, you must have drank a double shot of hateraide today.
Like I said, these dudes aren't at that level where there are ATG, p4p, etc, etc. They are looking to do things they have not done before, namely, not take fights as an opponent for cash.
Lavin has no ammy career to speak of at all, not one fight, actually, and took stupid fights after his first two.
Rouse fought everyone and anyone. no shame in losing to some of the names he has on his record at all. Yeah, he's 41. Fighting smart fights at this stage is really the only way to go. Or didn't you see B-hop who was shadow of his former self hang with a young buck at 49 years of age ? "40 is not a death sentence", as George Foreman used to say- Smart fights at his level are not out of the question at all.
As far as Vic V., yes I would call a fight after being ko'ed a comeback fight for this young man. He has a zero support network due to dirty NY politics on the amateur scene. He needs intelligent matchmaking so he doesn't wind up with a record or in the position that Lavin and Rouse are in at that age.
But hey, if you think these cats shouldn't be fighting, you are more than welcome to come to the gym and see for yourself what they got left in the tank.

lol why you can't be a critical thinker without being a hater is beyond me. I guess there are so many haters out there an opinion thats based on actual facts is an anomaly so people don't know how to take it except to call it hate. In particular on this forum as of late with so many trolls. So I forgive you for that accusation.punchy1 wrote:Dayyyyymmm Reggie, you must have drank a double shot of hateraide today.

And I don't think 40 is a "death sentence", well beyond in a being born is a death sentence sorta way. I just think a 40+ year old cat who hasn't beaten a guy with a winning record since 2006 probably shouldn't be competing in professional boxing. I've stated in this forum several times that anyone over 40 who isn't among the top ten guys (or I guess at least losing to top ten guys) shouldn't be fighting at all from my pov. There definitely shouldn't be 40+ year old boxing journeyman if boxing had any quality control whatsoever.
Pasqual easily is the most accomplished cat of the three with several names on his record, but 20-15-3 is no record for a 40+ year old professional boxer to have in a sport with standards. Fortunately for these cats & others professional boxers boxing gots standards lower than the US military. The funny thing for him is because boxing has such low standards with matchmaking Pasqual with his overall respectable journeyman record is being put in the ring with a cat who's lost 13 of his last 14 fights, 9 by knockout so Pasqual is gonna win unless his layoff has dropped him further down the lengthy boxing hierarchy ladder.
"Come see what they got left in the tank". LOL. While besides having 85lbs on Pasqual, my wind needs some work, but than again I'm not trying to be a pro boxer either. Fwiw I dislike the boxing commissions that allow this more than the boxers who take advantage of it. Its more sad to see on the boxer side. I mean to allow you to back up a few steps from this situation how can you justify a sport paying a guy like Pasqual is about to fight to fight? Kid fought 9 times last year. Went 1-8, KO'd 5 times. I'd argue no one should be getting KO'd 3 times in a year. You should be getting suspended cuz you suck &/or the boxing commissions suck. But commissions don't give a f#ck.
