Mayweather vs Pacquaio - series of fights

Sometimes life imitates art. Sometimes art imitates life. In this case it may well be a bit of both.

To celebrate the upcoming "Fight of the Century" between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio, we will run a fight every week between the two greatest fighters of our time. The fight will always be held at the MGM Grand and it will have the two Welterweight versions of the fighters (so it won't affect the Lightweight guys who are in active play this season).

So, every week we'll see another bout between them leading up to and until the big day comes in real-life.

Interesting idea. I imagine going prime for prime, the sim will have Mayweather win the majority of the matches. Still will be some interesting reads....

Floyd has an advantage over Pacquiao at Welterweight because he has a higher rating in the game. This could lead to it becoming repetitive with Floyd UDs, but we'll see how it goes.

for the record, Mayweather holds a victory over Pacquiao in the current Lightweight season.

And in our series, Floyd has scored first blood (barely) against his great rival.

I think sim Floyd has shown orders of magnitude more aggression than real Floyd will.

And after the real fight happened last weekend, our series has shown that Floyd always seem to have a little edge whenever they fight.
