Biggest Paycheck
His long term health
really doesn't want the GGG test

he wont get any bigger paycheck than against canelo.

floyd and pac are boxing each other and dont have time for cotto and a rematch of pac/may or a kahn fight seems much more likly than a second cotto fight for either one after the big one.

wbc already ordered miguel to fight GGG no later than september after cotto's voluntary defense.
i don't believe it is cotto who doesn't wan't canelo because i highy doubt cotto will ever make
the defense against GGG. he'll vacate and GGG will fight someone for the vacant title.
there are plenty titles at lower weights cotto could win and defend without getting mangled.
i think there is probably a clause in the kirkland contract that subordinates the fight
if the cotto fight can be made and that is most likely the fight. i honestly don't believe
any of these welters mentioned will be approved by the wbc for the voluntary.
he will defend against the easiest top 15 middle if canelo won't sign. i just noticed
tony jeter is in the wbc top 15, which is perplexing. that would be an easy defense
but no premium channel would approve that as an opponent. curtis stevens is in the
top 15 and would be a much tougher defense but i think cotto would have a chance at
beating him and stevens could probably get approved as an opponent for a premium
channel defense.

if the canelo fight can't be made, cotto will defend the wbc 160 against someone in the
top 15 who he has a chance of beating on hbo, then vacate the title and probably
take bundrage's 154 title and try to unify against andrade.
