Overall thoughts on PBC after the first show
-I like the fights they are putting together
-Fights didn't quite live up to the level of the expectations (the last few rounds of Thurman vs Guerrero was fun & I felt like that 10th round(?) was a ROTY type round), but not much you can do there, they seemed to have the potential for being good fights, as they say you can led a horse to water but you can't make sure he doesn't take a huge piss into the same water as he's drinking it with his stupid horse ass
-I liked the overall production value of the show, the ring looked a lil brighter or something to me idek, I like the whole setup with those big screens
-Still undecided on the camera stuff, felt like I was one more ring around the rosy circle from throwing up during the ref/fighters coming together before the fight
-Al Michaels needs to break his hip, I hate all these old timers announcing boxing (minus cats like Al Bernstein, Al is Boxing's Jesus & I personally see a glowing light around him during any telecast, but maybe I'm just too high idk), anyone who's had to go to the doctor to discuss prostate issues in the last 6 months shouldn't be calling boxing at this level, give me some unknown Youtube guy who can be entertaining & actually tell me whats going on instead of what this old timer is spitting as his brain is in buffering mode
like you're watching porn on dialup, I have zero vested interest in name value old folks home announcers, unless you bring zombie Don Dunphy back into the game just throw me the unknown Youtube guy
-Tiny production pet peeve, I hated the records of fighters on those big LED screens, no one f#cking cares Robert lost 2 fights & can't KO a sexy number of people, this just takes away from the hype of the fighter & the fight, the fans watching should be thinking everyone is undefeated for life going into the ring regardless how far from reality that is, throw a nickname up there or some fun graphic
-Walking to the ring by yourself looks like some WWE or UFC sh!t on the opposite of steroids, idk WWE/UFC on salads & pears I guess idk, let cats drive cars or motorcycles & land a f#cking helicopter near the ring if they wanna, this should be some fun &/or attention getting sh!t, They should get K2's hookup with those Klitschko intros, the betting favorite for the best part of a Klitschko fight is always the intro, they will give you goose bumps at their best
-No ring walk music? Wtf are you guys thinking. I suppose there are issues with prime time TV & cursing (f#cking pussy ass backwards culture, mfers wanna carry guns all over, but heaven forbid anyone says mfer or a titty pops out), but you gotta have something going on to gets things hyped up prefight, if we are dealing with a small group of PBC/Al Haymon guys come up with specific (clean) intro music for the guy like the WWE does, sell it on itunes
-I do appreciate the lack of a national anthem & that sorta nonsense, get guys in the ring & get them fighting asap, no one who matters cares about the prefight pageantry, get in..intro..fight..cut the bs, I'd also stop the announcing of the refs/judges to speed things up, almost no one cares who they are & if you just throw a lil caption on the screen you can share that with the home audience for those who do care
-F#ck ring announcers, didn't miss that at all, lets get rid of all these uppity mfers immediately, peace out Buffer brothers & lil Jimmy Lennon
