Espinoza: I Wrote The Testing Clause in 09

Definitely something I was not aware of. Probably the only revelation I had the whole conference. About 46:14

Stephen Espinoza is an attorney so I wouldn't doubt that he has a hand in writing a lot of contract clauses involving Showtime Boxing.

He's talking about the steroid testing issue that held up the fight in 2009. He was GBP general counsel at the time.

I watched the PC, thought it was really pathetic for him to bring that up. We've been over the barriers for 5 years why it's not happened, we finally get it signed, and Espinoza wants to talk at the presser about who's to blame for why it never happened before? Another reason why HBO is a far more professional and reputable production/network.

I took it differently. I thought Espinoza was being slightly self deprecating. He was admitting that he was partly to blame for causing the fight to not happen 5 years ago.
