Craig Evans v Scott Cardle is a cracker at a far better weight for Craig than Super Feather. I think Craig will win this by wide points

Seems strange that Satchell who is European and Commonwealth Flyweight champ and was also British champ which I thought he still held ,is to rematch Wilton for vacante belt
Re: BBBofC releases list of mandatory title challengers
It's Wilton v Ian Butcher for the vacant belt matehandsofstone wrote:Seems strange that Satchell who is European and Commonwealth Flyweight champ and was also British champ which I thought he still held ,is to rematch Wilton for vacante belt

Not sure I would use the term 'Bottled it' it seems a bit disrespectful towards Gary imo. This kind of move could be down to lots of different factors, a bigger fight in the pipelines or maybe a fight abroad but until someone who actually knows the reasons I don't find it fair that anyone can say that he bottled it. I have spoke to Gary on a few occasions and he and his team are confident against anyone in Britain and can't wait to show what they have been working on in the gym and in sparring.rio wrote:cold187 wrote:cornish is a nob for not seeking the dillain whyte fight

I don't think he bottled it, i asked him yesterday and he said he was totally up for the fight and he never pulled out. So I would take from that, that Gilmour's pulled the fight because Gary still sells tickets without having to take too risky fights. To be perfectly honest, i'm not sure the big lad is ready for a British Title fight, as good as he could be he's still very green in boxing terms. Nice lad though.David McAllister wrote:Not sure I would use the term 'Bottled it' it seems a bit disrespectful towards Gary imo. Dillian is big on twitter and with these kind of guys they have a big fanbase who really know absolutely nothing about the sport. Wankers, you could say. Same sort of idiots who tweet boxers asking for xrays to prove they are injured. Wankers, the lot of them
Re: BBBofC releases list of mandatory title challengers
More likely that his team bottled it for him, I can't see him getting a bigger fight than a British title eliminator, so unless he's got a big money fight on the road, they've pulled him out because they don't think he's ready for it.David McAllister wrote:Not sure I would use the term 'Bottled it' it seems a bit disrespectful towards Gary imo. Ultimately the buck stops with him. His team work for him not the other way round. If he really wanted the fight he would have took out. Too easy to say I wanted the fight but my team said no. If he wanted the fight he would have took it simple as. He would have come out this looking a lot better if he simply said he wasn't Ready for someone of whytes calibre.

I don't tbink Gary would bottle fighting anyone. Most fighter would fight anyone win, lose or draw.. I think Gary's team are quite rightly protecting him. He isn't ready for Dillian Whyte so why take the fight. Gary is still Young enough to learn for another year or 2 before stepping up to championship level

Re: BBBofC releases list of mandatory title challengers
Im sick of hearing Gilmour blowing hot air about his fighters being in contention to appear on big shows abroad or being offered top quality sparring without anything materialising
Didn't he mention something last week about Cornish being offered a slot on a big show but he didn't have time to prepare despite coming off a 1st round KO? I can't remember specifics ,most of what Tommy says goes over my head

It must be tough one that your boy swallowed....make all the excuses in the world for him but the bottom line is Dillion Whyte is ready to fight and Gary Cornish said no chance.

Re: BBBofC releases list of mandatory title challengers
Gary Cornishs defenders on here are fantasists there's no other word for it he "bottled it" no injury, not personal issues, not about the money just plain fear.
If Gary really wanted the fight and Gilmour thought that he had a chance then the fight would of happened just accept that Cornishs record is padded and the minute he steps up he's going to be shown up big time.
He should be not be given another eliminator by the BBBofC until he proves he is willing to actually fight someone that hits back.

Not entirely true though is it....my good friend who shall remain nameless, wanted and begged almost for a rematch that he wanted revenge in...it could have been made and for good money as well however promoter decided otherwise. which in hindsight proved to be a very good decision.london wrote:Gary Cornishs defenders on here are fantasists there's no other word for it he "bottled it" no injury, not personal issues, not about the money just plain fear.

I'm not saying that's definitely the case with Gary, what I mean is, its too easy to assume someone is a bottle job when it fact the opposite can be true.

This case is different I am on about Gary Cornish who is a 20-0 fighter who's level realistically would be challenging for the British Title, he was given the opportunity and withdrew.
