How come the Al Haymon cards which are being broadcast on Showtime arent advertised on the official PBC website???
Im referring to the upcoming Jermell Charlo vs Vanes Martirosyan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Andrzej Fonfara fights!

Re: PBC on Showtime???
I'd imagine because Showtime had their arrangement previous to the recent time buy extravaganza PBC/Haymon thing. They got names for their own shows. All the PBC stuff is new stuff.
If PBC becomes a thing then maybe at some point that changes cuz a PBC label would have value for Showtime. Right now its more a concept than a successful entity in the boxing world.

Re: PBC on Showtime???
Showtime has their own established brand, they're not just gonna swap it Haymon's brand (which they don't own) on a whim.
Re: PBC on Showtime???
Well they might want to consider doing just that, otherwise Haymon will have his fighters run up there Showtime contracts and never fight there again!jujigatame wrote:Showtime has their own established brand, they're not just gonna swap it Haymon's brand (which they don't own) on a whim.
Its the Al Haymon way or the highway!
Showtime might have their own established brand, but hardly any fighters of worth under contract with them anymore, at least not for much longer!!!!!
Re: PBC on Showtime???
Then Showtime will sign some other fighters up, Haymon needs them to, he can't get his fighters on HBO and if he isn't working with Showtime, he has no PPV outlet for his fighters. If he doesn't have PPV, he's not making his money back from this venture, he needs Showtime more than Showtime need him.PokerRob wrote:Well they might want to consider doing just that, otherwise Haymon will have his fighters run up there Showtime contracts and never fight there again!jujigatame wrote:Showtime has their own established brand, they're not just gonna swap it Haymon's brand (which they don't own) on a whim.

Re: PBC on Showtime???
The only thing I can think of is that a few of Haymons fighters are still under contract with Showtime, so he cant put them on his official PBC shows (NBC, CBS and Spike).
Re: PBC on Showtime???
Thing is he's working with CBS now, who are the parent company of Showtime.expe wrote:Then Showtime will sign some other fighters up, Haymon needs them to, he can't get his fighters on HBO and if he isn't working with Showtime, he has no PPV outlet for his fighters. Showtime will do what CBS (Leslie Moonves) tell them to do.
In-fact scrap what I said before about Haymon having his fighters run up there Showtime contracts, he will do this anyway, as Haymon doesnt have his fighters sign multi-fight deals with TV networks, otherwise that would prevent future fights from happening!
Besides, why would Showtime refuses the chance to show a Haymon PPV card in the future, Garcia vs Thurman for example... Its easy money for them!
