Early in the first round Petranyi went down and Briggs hit him while down which resulted in Briggs getting a pt deducted.
Apparently Guillermo Jones pulled a Shannon & called out Shannon right after the fight. Shannon accepted. Will be the most compelling Shannon Briggs fight in years if it actually happens.
I can see why so many people deplore boxing.
What was the purpose of this bout? It was a farce.
Petranyi shouldn't go anywhere near a boxing ring. Against a past-his-prime old man,a terrified Petranyi was on his bicycle the instant the bell rang.
Except for the payday, why does he bother getting in a ring? He had no intention of trying, and was looking for a soft place to fall from the beginning.
No wonder Briggs only smiled when he was docked a point. He knew the scorecards were going to be very unneccesary.
A travesty that once again puts boxing on the level of the WWE.

At least in his last two bum of the month runs that led to title shots, he was fighting decent journeyman like King and Calloway. Now he's reduced to fighting a 48 year old light heavyweight? That's pathetic . . .
Jones would knock Briggs out and Shannon knows it. No way that fight happens.
