Jimmy Tibbs on Boxing Tonight

Saw on BT Sport 1 tonight, Boxing Tonight did a Special one hour interview with trainer Jimmy Tibbs with Paul Dempsey. And I watched it all in utter amazement as. I knew that Tibbs was a topline British trainer who had worked with Frank Bruno and Nigel Benn and currently Billy Joe Saunders. Now I knew he had done a stint in the nick but until I saw the interview that he had done with Dempsey I did not know what for. But who else watched it and what did we all make of it?

It wasn't armed robbery, there was some sort of family fued/gangsterism where there were serious tit for tat attacks. Jimmy Tibbs, his brothers and his dad got long sentences. Jimmy Tibbs said his dad was nothing to do with it but got 10 years, he also said if he didn't get locked up he'd have ended up killing someone. It was really serious, someone put a bomb in his van and it blew up with Tibbs and his son, Mark inside.

In his book Tibbs says he gets a lot of peace through being born again and it is a big part of his life and identity.
