So. A month to go and it seems too soon, which is odd because its seven years too late - just that normally with a superfight you're looking forward to it months in advance, and this one has just arrived out of the blue really, because no one was expecting it to ever get made were they?
Have to say I'm surprised so many respected people are picking Manny to win, even Graham Houston apparently, and he gets it wrong about as often as Floyd does.
Floyd Sr. is making all the usual arrogant annoying noise and boy, would it be a pleasure to see that wind bag get shut down.
Also I think the elephant in the room is the question, why didn't Manny take this fight seven years ago ? The money was probably almost as good, and surely he was nearer his peak. Blood tests ? That was very odd. Or maybe he just never thought he could win, and here it is : the cash out retirement bonanza.
Freddie Roach actually says it was a freak occurrence, Manny having life and death struggles with Marquez, but that's obviously rubbish, because four times is about as convincing as you'll get.
And if the Mexican is able to counterpunch Manny into near oblivion, of course Floyd is going to be able to do that x 10.
But It seems the relatively advanced age of these two all-time greats is what is making a lot of people lean towards Pac man, maybe the best fighter Floyd has ever faced, and he is going to be up for this like no other.
I'm actually looking forward to this fight now

Re: THE MANNY FLOYD SHOW
I'm looking forward to the actual fight, the build up I can't be arsed with at all, there's nothing about both guys I haven't already read in the last 7 years
Neither fighter have got nothing interesting to say really,Pacquiao is humble but will just thank God and do his best for the Phillipines and Mayweather will also thank God and give the fans a great fight
Plus having half arsed boxing fans talking flannel, a guy in work today says to me. "When's that fight on?,I think Mayweather will knock em out in 3

Re: THE MANNY FLOYD SHOW
Does anyone know if there's a 24/7 type programme on for them?
Re: THE MANNY FLOYD SHOW
There's not but I heard they are doing some kind of biography on each fighter.Stuarty30 wrote:Does anyone know if there's a 24/7 type programme on for them?
Rehashed stuff to promote the bout.

Great post but I disagree with the old "if fighter A did this to Fighter B, then Fighter C will obviously do it more".MightyWarrior wrote: And if the Mexican is able to counterpunch Manny into near oblivion, of course Floyd is going to be able to do that x 10.
I think Floyd will win (after an even first six he sweeps the latter half, in my humble opinion) but it has nothing to do with JMM's bouts with Manny.

I think it's to do with the multi channels involved. So each channel gets their own little special showStuarty30 wrote:Pity I quite like the 24/7 type shows. Whets the appetite lol.
