Never heard of him.

Interesting aspect about Floyd's height though.

Bioxrec used to have him at 5ft 7. Looks like he's recently been changed to 5ft 8.

Canelo is listed as 5ft 9, but seems to me that Floyd is about half-an-inch taller than Alvarez.

I doubt we can trust news about sparring partners. I saw a Russian language interview with Provo where he replied that he isn't training with Pac at the same time, but condition of his face was telling me that it may not be true.

I think both guys are using a bunch of sparring partners. I highly doubt this guy is a chief Manny sparring partner unless he has really good boxing. I'm a MMA fan, but I'm not recalling this guys' boxing talent. This could just be a fresh body too. This ain't gotta be that serious. If he's quick he could be the 8th fresh guy in a 10 round, 10 fresh sparring partners each round type of sparring day no problem.

I laugh when I read stuff like that in bold, because if dude was that good then he'd be in boxing instead of the MMA; personally I've never heard of him and if he isn't having success in MMA then with his claim he should easily be able to translate that mimicking style into wins in boxing.

I don't think there are any fighters who can emulate Floyd's style because Mayweather really doesn't have a style, he adjusts on the fly:

The question is; can this Johnson guy make the adjustments off of what Manny is throwing at him in sparring that Floyd cans and even if he can, can you make the adjustments to the things Manny will do that Floyd would surely make to those as well??

Hell, even piss poor emulators of Floyd have enough success to get paid- just ask About Bruises.

So if this guy was any kind of mimic, you 'd think he'd be getting the larger purses and steadier work boxing provides.

But, what do I know...

PS- Can't wait to get somewhere where I can watch the vids. I like to study film of both fighters before a huge match like this.

So far, I just cannot figure out any gameplan Roach can come up with that doesn't expose Pac to counters.

Which means all their hopes hinge on the presumption that Manny can take everything Floyd can throw and continue to keep throwing himself, that he can walk thru what Mayweather does to him.

This, when NO ONE has been able to do it before.

Yep, you hit the nail right on the head with what I highlighted in bold. I think that is their gameplan which I think Mayweather knows also which is why he went back to chopping wood and plans to set down on his shots to the body and stop Many because he knows that Pacquiao doesn't take it very well there.
