Chris Jenkins out.

Post by Andy »

Chris Jenkins is out of Saturday's British title bout against Tyrone Nurse due to a stomach virus. Matchroom working on a replacement.

Real shame for Chris he has waited his turn and desperately wanted this, can't see them getting a title fight this late on for Nurse.

Show not having a lot of luck with the Ajisafe fight being called off as well due to the troubles in Kenya the visitor did not get his visa apparently and then Hosea Burton was up for it but then that fell through for reasons known to many but that I cannot confirm.

Was looking an ok Saturday night show but now it looks very average to be honest, in all fairness not much the promoter can do on a Wednesday and Thursday pull out, hopefully he can get something of interest on there other than the main two fights, the fans deserve it although most will
be there to see Josh I guess.

This could be worse than last weeks Newcastle bill.

Warringtons fighting a career bantamweight. The only decent fight looks like Ward v Hughes rematch.

I was only really looking forward to Limond vs Jenkins for the British and now this! So will the Nurse fight still be for the title? What about Woodhouse for another crack if he's fit! Would be a nice story. Not sure what kinda weight he walks around at though!

Maybe young Jack Caterall would jump at the chance? Quite like him and Nurse would be a winnable fight.

Caterall would beat Nurse comfortably for me, not likely to happen though Jacks with Warren and going down his own path can't see him taking last minute fights.

Not a chance he will appear on a Matchroom bill. It will be a Latvian from the weight below.
